    Mine used to do this. Turned out to be my laptop and I never figured out why or how to fix it. I even sent it back for a new motherboard (I think? It was a major part) and it worked for a bit but started again. Bought a new laptop in the end and never experienced it again.

    Mine seem fine and I don't go in to any of the parameters, I just put in a volume block and assign the pedal. When calibrating the pedal did you make sure the little dial on the FV500 was all the way down, or at the same position now as it was when you calibrated it?

    I don't see how an open tuning would work. I think you'd need a midi pickup which had a separate sensor for each string, going to one of those Roland things.

    The Adams arrived today, but I didn't realise they only take XLR cables and I only have one because the Tannoys took regular guitar cables as well. :( Can't really tell how it sounds through just one with guitar, but I played bass through one and it sounded a lot clearer than the Tannoys.

    They more than likely won't be used for mixing. I play my axe through monitors at home and if anything I just want some more clarity in the low end. I use tannoy reveal 5a atm and my atmospheric patches can get muddy. I'll listen to Cds through them.

    It's just a standard USB lead, you might be able to use one from another piece of equipment you have like a printer or scanner etc. I use the one from my Mbox2 but my Pod XT and keyboard one also work.

    Can't you just look at the tempo in Ableton and then press the tempo button on the Axe front interface and match the tempo in there? So if its 130bpm in Ableton just turn the Axe dial to 130 too?
