    Your preferred intonation method.

I just tune the fretted 12 fret to the 12 fret harmonic on a new set of strings. The action on my guitars is quite low so then I just tune the guitar to open strings when I'm playing with other guitarists..... and tune to the 8th fret when I'm playing with keyboard players. Close enough for me.

    ADA MPC Foot Controller

I've got a couple, they work like a charm with both my Ultra and Axe 3. I never had to configure the MPC in any way. You have a choice of numbering your presets 000-127 or 001-128. You configure this in the Axe Fx. Look in the manuals for this info...(I don't have my units with me ATM). For it...

Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 19.06

Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 19.06

The main reason I don't use scenes etc is that I don't have an FC12. At AUS $1500 it's a lot of money to switch sounds. Incidentally the AXE FX III M2 turbo is $4600 in Oz. I just use an old dumb ADA 12 button midi switcher and it works well for my purposes. Oh and I forgot! It fit's into the...

A lot of wisdom here. I might add that I don't run FRFR. I just don't see the need. I just run my Matrix into my 2 EV12L open backed boxes. I tilt my boxes back so I hear something very close to what the audience and other band members may hear. The only time I've simultaneously went FOH the...

    POWERAMPS: COMPARING APPLES TO ORANGES

Whatever happened to the industry standard specs that enabled me to compare watts to watts, STN to STN etc. I’m thinking about buying the Matrix power amp mainly for size and weight. I’m currently using a Crown XLS 602 which is perfectly adequate for my purposes. I would like however to...

Christ mate, I'm going to have to come over and smack you around; you'll be telling everyone Australian cultural secrets like "drop Bears" next:D

No problem, well done. We've all been guilty of not getting all of our facts in order before speaking our mind. I share your frustration. Look at my address. We have to wait for American and Europeans get services and products first. Not always bad though as the bugs are often ironed out by the...

You made a fool of yourself mate. Lighten up; it's just a guitar toy. There are people dying in the streets for freedoms you take for granted (like being a whiney little girl on internet forums). The cost of your toys would probably save the lives of many kids in 3rd world countries. If...

1st Ultra recording. Reverie.......a SRV style chordal solo.

Thanks, The great thing is that it's all the AXE, no tubes, external EQ or amps, or FX. The Strat contibuted a little; but it's a pretty standard Strat. It was a little hard to play buzz free on the Strat; the frets are a bit too low and my fingers a bit too fat. I should really get it...

Guitar (Fender Strat Plus with Area 58, 58, 61 pups.) ......> Ultra (modified UD Chorus patch) ......>Desk (no EQ).......>Cubase. No extra FX, limiting in Soundforge for mastering. Hope you like SoundClick artist: Bob Meredith - page with MP3 music downloads

Anyone use a mixer INTO the AXE: For multiple guitars etc

I gave my previous configuration a test run and it works fine. Electric in the front input, and preamp (+4db) into input 1 RH i/p. I cant hear a tone difference (will test again through my studio monotors) and according to Yeks guide the imput impeadance front and back is the same. The main...

Anyone use a mixer INTO the AXE: For multiple guitars etc

Yeah, I figured input impedance may make a difference. From what I've read I could run E Guitar into the front input and a preamp into input 1 right. Is this correct? Even with the preamp I already have this would give me 3 inputs and some measure of control. Ideal for small self monitored gigs.

Anyone use a mixer INTO the AXE: For multiple guitars etc

Thanks for the heads up. The trinity seems a simple and elegant way of using the AXE as a "string station" without too much fuss. Also allows me to mute the instruments that are not being played, by the look of it. If I was to build a mega system with independant feeds to FOH and separate...

Anyone use a mixer INTO the AXE: For multiple guitars etc

First post, great forum, great product. I just bought an Ultra less than a week ago. (I'll let the AXE II settle in for a few months before I think about an upgrade.) I'd like to be able to run an Electric, Acoustic, and a Mandolin into the Axe. Using a mixer to even out the input levels...
