    All computers are horrible EMI terrorists, they pollute at least nearest 10 feet in every direction. I managed to put the computer in next room with long cables, it was perfection: no emi or noise. 0db computer noise is a huge thing.

    Do other notes do it as well? That's a pretty "sharp" interference there. Pickup too close to the strings sounds "softer" but slightly similar. Send a DI track so we can test that alone.

    If your headphone thing accepts spdif input, you’d use that and therefore skip the DA conversion. It will have more latency than normal wired headphones straight from the Axe though.

    My live presets that have been tweaked with full band at drummer volumes sound dull and pretty bassless at bedroom volumes. So, play somewhat loud at home and make the sound feel like it would need a bunch more high end and lows and it should be a very good starting point.

    Of the ones I’ve tried, my favorites are Sennheiser HD600 (same pair for 20 years, I dont think one can buy consumer electronics with longer lifespan nowadays) and Meze 109pro and Empyrean. Both Mezes are a bit too bright but not in silly territory, but they best the Sennheiser in the bass region.

    Strat with single coils is the answer. Your heavy tone will be Yngwie Malmsteen, which is a great tone, but thats not Animals as leaders tuned to Z.
