Tiny speaker suggestions for practicing?

Yorkville has a battery powered unit... it's not super light but it would certainly work well and can handle the rigors of travel. Mackie had/has a SRM150 that is pretty small. Galaxy Audio has an "any spot" made for monitoring. Bose S1 is also pretty good. You will be giving up a lot to use...

Need help connecting FM3

1/4" out of the scarlett (on the back) to RCA on the iLoud. USB from FM3 to iMac. XLR (left) from FM3 to Scarlett to mic input. You can also go with XLR to 1/4" on the right channel to Scarlett. You'll have to fool around with the gain on the scarlett to get things right.

right now, i am digging the 2x15 doubleshow rw cab. This is with a Ultra Tele, neck pickup, running a Behringer XR18 to JBL 305's. XR18's EQ is flat except a LF rolloff from 120 down. No compression or gate on the channel. No effects from the mixer.

Sound = incredible. Preset gap while switching

Preset changes are best used to load up a new song, or setlist and not really good for changing stuff while playing. Use scenes/channels and controllers to switch stuff within a scene

Just to be clear, I setup a new preset, had only one scene. Used Archeon Clean and a factory cab. Nothing else in the preset. Hit the fat switch in FM3 Edit and sound stops. Reboot recovers. I did not test the Bright switch yet. I will do further testing again tonight.

Odd External Footswitch behaviour

This led me to the config that works. The pedals default to expression pedals, so I switched it to tip/ring. I also went in and set the pedal tip and ring to normally open/make. It works as expected now. Thanks everyone!

It's a behringer FS112BV (from the Bass V-AMP). It does support hold functions. Firmware is 1.06 and it's fully pushed in. I've tried it in both ports.

You want a signal path that takes the drive / wah etc signal and takes it to the amp input. Then you want the signal from the amp efx send to return to the in2. Out 1 then routes back to the efx return on the amp. You want to try all your time based effects in the (in2/out1) loop. Try it...

The thing with monitoring audio is everyone's ears are different, everyone setup is different etc. When I monitor through my JBL monitors, I expect to hear it a bit differently, so I have a set of outputs on my mixer specifically setup for them. When I use the headphones, I use yet another set...

Good points, thanks.. I do use factool to get quite a few presets setup on my Fx8. I have used RJM products in the past, I am not 100% sure I would use the relays for switching but it would be a nice to have.

Using the FX8 with Mooer RADAR pedal?

You shouldn't need to use a DI with the Radar. I use a TRS to XLR cable direct to the mixer. Your mileage may vary but I see plenty of signal at my mixer this way. The one thing I can say is that if you are using IEM, the frequencies that come through are pretty broad... you'll need to trim...

FX8 4CM with Mesa Single rectifier parallel loop

Yes, a mod is the best way to go, I had a rectoverb and always had issues with the parallel loop. It tended to be noisy too... also, watch your masters, try and use the output of the amp to control volume instead of the masters.
