Sounds great, I don't think I would change anything. I did one of Jambi and Vicarious back in April with Firmware 7. I've put them on Axe Change. What amp did you use? Any EQ'ing?

Been messing around with Tone Matching again. Vicarious and Rosetta Stoned are pretty similar but this has some more bass. Hope this works well for others. Track below is a clip of it. Right channel is the preset and Left is the original track. Couldn't stop listening to 10000 days today so...

Yes, you are right :) I do need to get round to that. Now comparing to some of my other tones on the AXE FX it does lack the thump and clarity. There is a quality in my other tones I was trying to escape and maybe gone too far. Tweaked a little (felt I should change the riff)

Finally found a keeper!!!

I love the AXE FX, :) I've spent ages trying to dial in the exact tone I want. Might not be to everyones taste but here ya go. Don't be hard on the playing :D sunday morning hangover (especially the second bit). II x AXE FX in your ears is a decent cure...that and IRN BRU. Straight from AXE FX...

Weird phasing?

If you have your reference track in Logic, add another empty track and click on that before you are going to do your playing. I've noticed something strange about see attached image. Sorry I am not good at explaining.

One thing I have noticed when using tone match in garage band, it does not like me still being on the ref track when I am playing my part. I never took notice of whether I was monitoring, but it gave me bad results. You might be getting caught out by that. Remember to play the track before...

Hi, I'm pretty sure it's not a bug, its because a lot of Isolated guitar tracks that are readily available are stereo and even made up of two or more guitars, one on the left one on the right. When you do the SUM L+R it takes the tones from both sides creating phase issues. At least that was...

One you have recorded youR tone have you pressed enter after recording your guitar? ;-) Is it a stereo track? If it is you need to choose Left or right, not SUM L+R.

For Tool definitely the BRIT PRE AMP, I tried a few and it just seems right. And don't use a CAB, I have used it with other bands but Adam's tone must just work right without it on the AXE after matching.

Tried Jambi - Tool - Snippet Ooooft it is good. I used the 1st couple bars and BRIT PRE amp. I don't know how else to copy Adams Marshall, Diezel and Mesa Rig :) so whilst going through all amps this sounds closest to me, unless someone can suggest a better one. I've not used a cab as the final...

There are some tones I used years ago that I can't wait to have back :-) HOURS of fun! They have made the process so easy. Although I think I was quite tired, it took me a while to realise I had to change the ref to USB :)

Where are you getting all these? Think I will be matching in order: Dream Theater - most of black clouds and silver linings. Tool - Jambi Then spend all night (the night after 6.0 drops) playing all the songs I know by both bands.

Thankfully isolated tracks don't just come in youtube format ;) The full FLAC versions of this song and all of Black clouds and silver linings are on my harddrive. Surely that will do. Maybe even use the bass tracks :)

BROKE my guitar, should I sell my AXE FX II?

Dropped from a height on to side of neck, So a big dent on 7th fret. Only thing I could fix is the broken nut :D I know, i'd go for a JPXI 7, which here is £2499 from UK supplier. If something should happen that cancels the trip that is what I will do.

As I said I don't need or want to sell. Just wondering what other peoples opinions of having an AXE FX II sitting unused for a long time would be. I've moved every year (renting) so Hire purchase is out of the question. I could probably get a budget guitar in a few months, but at the same time...

Broke my guitar beyond repair this weekend, can't afford to buy a new one as going away for a month to New Zealand next year (not even a budget one) Would you sell your AXE FX II if you had no Guitar and not likely to have one until end of the year? Not particularly happy at the moment...

Yeah I definitely have too few :) £8.99 from Maplin or £1.59 for a 5m one from Amazon...might get both.
