AX8 2?

All I'd want from the new model is USB recording and a better UI. I'm happy with one amp at a time, and reduced fx capabilities.

Wish AX8 successor wishlist

I don't know what the technical term is, but I want to be able to record via USB. Preferably with re-amping. I can do this with my old Line6 X3!!! It is the only reason I haven't bought an AX8 already.

Advantages: - Able to sell a product to a market that he does not currently reach (people willing to spend $500 or whatever, but not $2250) - Able to reach people who don't buy hardware due to lack of space - Able to reach people who don't buy hardware because it's a pain in the ass to service...

I'd pay a premium for an AxeFx plugin. I'd pay more than I'd be willing to pay for Helix, for sure, just because I know Fractal is a smaller company. I'm probably going to get the Helix plugin. It'd be a shame if Fractal don't follow suit. If Line6 keep putting out a product that is so well...

For every synth or rack unit that is 'vintage' and still in demand, there are a hundred that are not. Every time Roland (for example) brings out a synth or sound module it's hailed as the latest and greatest in realism, but if you're the sort of person who wants a great sounding Roland sound...

Technology moves so fast I figured it would be good to discuss it again. The obvious problems are piracy, and that it would probably affect sales of the hardware unit. Is the technology available to adequately protect the product from piracy? Even if it isn't, aren't software companies...

It's not a tone thing, it's a playability thing. I use a Morley because i absolutely must have a spring loaded wah that turns on when i stand on it and off when i don't. I know Crybaby do one like that too. But unless i could find a foot controller for the axefx that could do the same...

I wouldn't mind plugged the floorboard into a wall plug anyway, since i'd need to do that for my wah and a couple of other independent pedals i use.
