    AX8 2?

All I'd want from the new model is USB recording and a better UI. I'm happy with one amp at a time, and reduced fx capabilities.

    Wish AX8 successor wishlist

I don't know what the technical term is, but I want to be able to record via USB. Preferably with re-amping. I can do this with my old Line6 X3!!! It is the only reason I haven't bought an AX8 already.

    Axe Fx for my mac

This is what I mean by market share concerns. If people buy Helix Native because they want a good amp-sim plugin... then it starts to make sense to them to buy the Helix floorboard or rack too, since it would result in a more integrated workflow and studio-to-stage transition. People even...

    Axe Fx for my mac

Advantages: - Able to sell a product to a market that he does not currently reach (people willing to spend $500 or whatever, but not $2250) - Able to reach people who don't buy hardware due to lack of space - Able to reach people who don't buy hardware because it's a pain in the ass to service...

    Axe Fx for my mac

I'd pay a premium for an AxeFx plugin. I'd pay more than I'd be willing to pay for Helix, for sure, just because I know Fractal is a smaller company. I'm probably going to get the Helix plugin. It'd be a shame if Fractal don't follow suit. If Line6 keep putting out a product that is so well...

    Axe-FX PC (again)

No doubt creating a plugin version of AxeFx is not an easy job, but if anyone can figure it out, it's Cliff!!!

    Axe-FX PC (again)

For every synth or rack unit that is 'vintage' and still in demand, there are a hundred that are not. Every time Roland (for example) brings out a synth or sound module it's hailed as the latest and greatest in realism, but if you're the sort of person who wants a great sounding Roland sound...

    Axe-FX PC (again)

True, but then people tend to replace their computing products every now and then anyway. For me, it would be one less thing to replace.

    Axe-FX PC (again)

And for those reasons, they would still be able to sell the unit itself. :)

    Axe-FX PC (again)

Perhaps I haven't been clear because I don't think you've understood my point. Let me use another example instead; - If I buy a hardware digital multi track recorder (like the Tascam DP-24 for example), then when this becomes obsolete and tascam bring out a new one, I then have to buy a...

    Axe-FX PC (again)

Technology moves so fast I figured it would be good to discuss it again. The obvious problems are piracy, and that it would probably affect sales of the hardware unit. Is the technology available to adequately protect the product from piracy? Even if it isn't, aren't software companies...

Midi control of Axe FX 2...?

    Amazing! Thanks.

Midi control of Axe FX 2...?

It's not a tone thing, it's a playability thing. I use a Morley because i absolutely must have a spring loaded wah that turns on when i stand on it and off when i don't. I know Crybaby do one like that too. But unless i could find a foot controller for the axefx that could do the same...

Midi control of Axe FX 2...?

I wouldn't mind plugged the floorboard into a wall plug anyway, since i'd need to do that for my wah and a couple of other independent pedals i use.

Midi control of Axe FX 2...?

I meant, if i was using something like a Roland GI20 midi interface, or any of the interfaces on the market that you can connect a guitar w/ hexaphonic pickup or a graphtech midi system to and then onto a synth. When connecting such a guitar to one of these systems and then connect that to a...

Midi control of Axe FX 2...?

I understand the Axe-Fx can be controlled by midi, but can i change patches using the momentary switch on a guitar midi system? When you have piezos with a midi system, or if you have a roland pickup, it is common to have two switches. One is pickups-midi-both, the other is usually a...
