Confused about AxeFx FXL with real amp question

It's not clear to me what you're trying to achieve exactly but, if I understand FX loops correctly, they introduce/insert an external device at a given point in the chain of the master device. The Axe-Fx still needs to receive a signal at its main input to pass anything through the grid for...

Axe-Fx Looper & Beatbuddy? (MIDI Sync)

The Axe-Fx II doesn't transmit MIDI clock, rather it receives. So if you can send from another device to the Axe-Fx II it should work. I sync my Axe-Fx to Ableton Live's master tempo on occasion and it seems to work fine.

Axe fx 2 as audio interface for Neural DSP

Yes, this works with Axe-Fx II if you set it up correctly. Plug your guitar into your Axe-Fx II's INPUT 1, and assuming you only want to hear the Neural DSP amp, you need to kill the main audio path that would otherwise result in direct monitoring of the Axe-Fx II at it's main output stage...

Control DAW from FCB1010 through Axe FX 2 XL+

If you want to pass MIDI from a hardware controller connected to the Axe-Fx II through to the DAW (without messing up your Axe's established controller assignments) you will need to employ a third-party MIDI interface on the MIDI THRU port.
