    As someone who has tried multiple “easy” options I can say, hands down, that the fractal camp (outside of tube amps etc.) is where people who appreciate and understand tone and feel and ridiculously accurate modelling live. And happy to be a member.

    Just curious if anyone has a comment here — or is it really a matter of preference. Btw I do get that leaving the silence would add a slight bit (ie 0.3ms) of latency which in the end probably doesn’t matter given the already low latency of the fm9/axefx3 etc.

    Just curious if most people using cab lab 4 are exporting autotrimmed vs. non trimmed ir’s. Most of the time I don’t see any change in the eq graph but there seems to be a subtle difference in feel/tone which I 100% acknowledge might be placebo effect. HB

    While the primary purpose of Fullres ir is to add depth and capture the AITR experience better can they also be used just to employ longer “standard” ir’s. Ie throw a 500 ms ownhammer stereo ir file into cab block slot 3/4 or full length mono redwirez mixir2 file into cab block slot 3? thanks!

    Just to report back — turns out axe fx 3 was (not surpringly) fine and it was just a bad usb cable. I was also easily able to set up the tone match as above once I found a working cable.

    I did. But keeping both — nice to have a portable unit esp when the new firmware, ultrares cabs and new drives arrive. But I definitely like tonematch and the freedom to create ridiculous rigs with the fx3.

    Hi Glenn — I was unable to get system audio output. Audio is definitely being recorded. I had monitoring on as well as off to compare and no difference. USB returns are all set to 0db. iTunes not playing through system either. Again thanks for any input!
