Wish TMA block

it would be great... even with hi cpu usage , we could have a preset with only TMA block and Amp , tone match a sound, export an IR and then use this IR in a Cab block...

still using the 1st generation..for some reason i found the new generation of fractal (II and III) to be way more polished that the sound made with the standard/ultra....vintage is better, even in digital lol

Good old axe standard..brown sound

I needed something to quickly record at home, and as i can't deal with plugins latency and cpu usage i took an old axe fx standard as they sell for 500 euros now.. good thing is there's not a lot of parameters (compared to the III) and it sound ok ! a bit of noodling on the brown sound :)

just to say , if you want to emulate a "plexi in a box" like plexidrive pedal to go in a clean channel , you have to let the power amp sim of axe fx active as the drive of these amp comes from the power amp.it also work like this.

yes but in this case he could have played a small combo amp with small pedalboard.playing the axe fx instead says a lot about the quality of this gear and where it is about clean crunchs tones now... that's great.i have mine since one week, it's a blast to play :-) BTW more two rock amps in axe...

Hi there, and happy new year :) i have an axe fx ultra, and tried some different firmware tonight, when i load firmware 6.XX , everything works ok except the LCD screen on the axe fx who has his contrast really low and when i try to use the contrast parameter in UTILITY it doesn't work at all...

Ref solo isnt accurate when i listen

update on this, as i had the same pb , you just have to mute the block just after the tonematch block while capture/listening to ref source, and it will be exactly the same. for some reason the signal received as ref source is sent to output 1 or 2 (if your blocks are all connected) and it...

Can the MFC101 controll this kind of "parameters" ?

i want to save cpu at first + the compressor in the gp8 is the best i ever played , and analog dist / overdrive is a "+" same for eq, phaser, auto wah. so in the end i save cpu and gain analog pedals.instead of their numeric version.and most of all i already have the gp8 so it cost me nothing lol

thanks guy, i already use #cc and it works great with other gear , this gear is an old Gp8 roland, you can't assign #cc to active on/off effect, but in the midi implementation, it seems they tell you can assign a on/off via "system exclusive" message. ( alinea 5 on this page...

yes and i realize this is stupid idea as the preamp is not the same (atomic preamp is not in the axe fx) and there are 2 clips of axe fx , and one of the atomic,i should have left only 2 clips it's too easy to find what is the axe or real preamp lol

as i'm in the same case of the OP (i really like the axe fx , for studio use, but live i need a simple 3 channel rig) i bought à IRT studio LANEY which is a 2 rack space amp with tube power amp included and even load box included. sound really great, even the cab sim is great ! check this video...

your'e right, didn't thought about that, i tried another IR , wich is not a mix ( stock 1*12 tweed verb r121) , hear it a lot less, but it's still hear.is it the "room" sound ? from 0:00 to 0:04 , normal , then ultra res. just did noise on my pickup to have a percussive sound.

i did a A/B test this morning with stock cab (starfound Mix (TAF) from 0:00 to 0:09 it's ultra res , 0:09 to the end normal res . no reverb, and cab's reverb @ 0 what is this "resonance" ? the "room" ?? thanks BTW did try with other ultra res, it does the same, but not with high res only...

hi , you should set the gr55 to a specific midi channel, for exemple the 2 , and in mfc101 : switch"edit/save", then "preset" then "page right" (switch number 7) 2 times , then you have the program change called for the channel 1 .swith "up" (incr) and you'll have what program is called for the...

hmm point taken (even if i often hear the soundman tells the synths players "this sound is too quiet, this one too loud" even if well calibrated at home, the freq content makes them sound "louder" or not at high volume") but i will argue on this : imho the guitar sound can me more "agressive"...

Yes but i agree with Albion make a band sound good together can be difficult, especially if you have synth, and lots of voice, and brass.changing IR means changing "eq" (often radically )and if it's ok at home, live the soundman make your sound IR "A" sound good with bass and synth , and sound...

BTW the difference between g2/g3 is not "huge" the bad thing with old firmware is that you don't benefit as other "improvments" (i would like to have new wah with old firmware) the good thing is that you consider it as a "finish" product, no new parameters etc. BTW thanks to all for you...

absolutly ! BTW on Xl you can go to fw13 or 14 i think there's something on g2 technology in fw15 that inspire me a lot.just curious if anyone else "stopped" at one particular firmware

merci lauke-lux :-) hi :-) well it's sort a love/hate with axe fx , bought 3(!) ultra, and 2 axe fx II ! axe fx has something that other gear(kemper for exemple) don't have : when you play it it's real pleasure, but as the same time a bit frustrating because i still thing analog is better to...

Well there's something you have to understand : if you want the exact andy summers sound, you have to buy the gear he used (plexi, flange etc) BUT, it will sound different, because there's a lot to do with the way it was recorded , the mic placement etc , listen to these van halen iso tracks ...

well for me , playing with brown sound, or andy summers sound or eric johnson sound, is really great, that album that made me dream, that sound that was so great suddendly become "real" and i can interact with, it's magic. sure for live i use more "my" sound. but that's also the magic of axe fx...

thanks , i used a marshall and a jc120 cab (!) and tone match to fine tune used a flanger + chorus + mono reverb.
