Well yes quite a name James Tyler came up for this one .. my first thought when I saw them was wow only a guitar it’s mother could love .. but I have come to love JT guitars in general, the fingerboards ,playability , pickups and wiring options all add to incredibly versatile instruments , yes I...

#1 main guitar IMAGES and name, if you name it, please

been playing the Wolf Tour Relic a lot recently , my boy had his 16th birthday so got him a USA wolf as a gift for the 'big birthday' so we both have the same 'mains' for now!..think we shall name this the Wolfpack with the Mutt watching on, clearly unimpressed at what was undoubtedly an oasis...

One expensive guitar or several inexpensive ones?

Well I would go with one expensive one..namely the Huber Bernie Marsden , think this just might be the most beautiful guitar I ever looked at. Lets not forget like anything , guitars can be works of art as well as tools... The tool side is obv important if you play in a varied music style band...

Played some guitars today, including some proposed holy grails

Always Looking, and it seems buying, gave to say though I am loving Xotic guitars. Headstock design isnt my favourite, but other than that absolutely great guitars. I particuarly like the XSC 4 as with the Tylers I like a neck Humbucker as well as a bridge, and this model does both with the...

Whats the deal with James Tyler guitars?

Must admit the Vintage trem and locking tuners on the Tylers are great, work really well and great tuning stability, but I do like me a floyd! this one floats, and is pretty stable, so might not be coming in to be blocked Andy!..we shall see Interested to try the 'sercet' at somepoint, specs...

Whats the deal with James Tyler guitars?

Just treated myself to another one, wasnt really wanting to buy another, but when this came up, not seen another with this spec, always liked the raw wood elbow cut, and a floyd. Dug this one out the other day, forgot how much fun it is to play., I think quite rare beast nowadays Only issue I have with the Axe is for some reason the Virtual Capo sends the 12 string really out. dont know why it just doesnt work, so Eb is out for that..must be something to do with double...

Axe FX too overkill for bedroom only playing?

Guitar playing is guitar playing , full stop , whether u do it on the biggest stage in the world or in the smallest bedroom , the whole point of equipment is to give you that buzz to keep u wanting to play, and a big part of that is the quality of sound that comes out from your efforts ...

Wish Divide "Pitch" block to 3 blocks - "Key", "Harmony", and "Detune"

Just to add to this I do find 2 pitch blocks a little limiting now. Use one for Virtual Capo, and one for Whammy, which means I cannot use the detune /chorus type thing in these presets, so would be great to split off as above or even just add another pitch block ( or 2 )

    Pitch block Virtual Capo query

What I have found is the if I have 2 pitch blocks used, ie pitch block right after the input using Virtual Capo tuned down -1 ( eb ), then the preset uses a 2nd pitch block after the amp & cab for the typical detune ,chorus effect, then it creates the odd shimmer/dissonance. Solved by just...

So it was a good excuse to buy another guitar , bought a lovely quilted blue suhr classic select with a pair of thornbuckers ... lovely pups , really nice clean and defined .. yes lower output but so much more definition and clarity than the ssh + ... guitar guitar in the UK really good to deal with

Where do you set your amp block dB level for custom presets?

I always use the amp block to get the overall preset level as that has been the enduring advice from the word go, I have two ext switches set up to inc/dec amp block by 1db auto save..works really well for adjusting on the fly. Axe-Fx III Factory Presets

Dont know why but never really got on with the factory presets, and got quite excited about this release. Tried a few, and still dont really work for me at all. My presets are primarily tweaked Mokes/Fremens, few Austin Buddys & Burgs ....mayb e I should spend a bit more time playing with them
