Used Mk I (w/ a return window) + fan hum

Personally I'd return it while you're still within your window and wait another 10 weeks for Black Friday when the deals will be back on a Mk II. Might only be an extra $2-300 which I think is worth if for the extra presets and new IR functionality. "But who really needs 1024 presets?!" Well...

This is nothing to do with the Axe-FX - just coincidence. It's a disk data error. Go to Disk Utility and run this on your Lacie drive and it should fix it:-

Nothing beats the "TV mix" Cabs, not even UltraRes (Opinion)

Does anyone know how the TV Mix was created - what mics, what distance and position, and what ratios? I would love to try that formula on other cabs.

No good for those of us who mix ITB (ie inside Logic/Cubase/PT). I like to put together IR mixes in the context of a track and then save the result for future use on the AxeFX. Can't do that without the .wavs :(

Do You Hear a Difference

I think it's the other way round. The first part in the first clip sounds more dynamic and natural. The second seems to have less dynamic range with a slightly muddier low end. The first part also has better blended early reflections, which makes me think it's miked. If I'm wrong, then bravo! :)

I Was Going to do a Demo of the New Dimension D Chorus Model ...

Communication failure

Before upgrading to FW11/AE3, I did a clean reinstall of OSX 10.8.4 and installed drivers for an RME UFX audio interface, UAD 2 Quad card, Yamaha USB MIDI drivers for a CP1 keyboard along with drivers for iLok and Syncrosoft dongles. (System is a 2008 8 core 3.4GHz Mac Pro).

Yes - I've tried everything. I manually transferred the Empty IR file with FractalBot to every single user cab location from 50 -100 (even though I've never even used a User cab), and then uploaded clean-system-v11.syx again and still no joy - it responds exactly as in the video clip. :(

I can't get it to work at all. I'm on the very latest firmware, latest drivers, latest presets etc, I've followed all the advice for setting up the I/O on Axe2, cleaning the system, I've tried multiple USB cables, multiple USB ports (Mac Pro front and rear) and a powered hub, all to no avail...

FCB1010 Pedal Calibration?

FCB1010 Pedal Calibration?

I got a new FCB1010 a couple of weeks ago and immediately calibrated the expression pedals. While doing so I noticed that they don't really start to send values until the pedals are 50% down - ie the heel value starts at 07, then with the pedal 50% down the value is 09 and then there is a flurry...

Behringer FCB1010 quick question...

TC2290 vs AXE FX Delay

Very close - the taper of the decay is slightly different and the first seems to have a bit more high end roll off on the repeats. I'm sure you could get even closer with a bit more tweaking.

Question about K12 EQ

The K12s have a 'deep' switch which adds more low end the way an additional subwoofer would, and a mid boost switch which is designed to add more presence for vocals. With both of those off, they should be fairly flat.

Eventide switch behavior possible from MFC-101?

I'd like to keep the expression pedals dedicated to volume and wah really. I suppose what I'm asking is, can a single switch be programmed to be both momentary and toggle in a single patch, so that a short press triggers a toggle command and a long press acts as a momentary?
