    How close is the mic to the grill? If it's right on it, back it off and inch or two and see if it sounds better. If do, and adjust to taste.. Further back or whatever. Also mess with placement between the edge and the cone.

    I realized that just upping the gain, the treble a little and A LOT of presence brings it to where it was with the power sim's on. It sounds a lot better I think. If I mess with the sag when I have sims off, will it actually make any difference?
