Just got an Atomic FR-WA. Why all the hate?

Just to be clear to some; it is the 50 watt wedge. Not the one with a dock. I’ve also owned a JBL Eon, EV and a Line 6 fr( forget what it’s called). I like the Atomic better. The Alto will be collecting dust. I’m playing an Axe 2 through it.

Just got an Atomic FR-WA. Why all the hate?

I just picked up an Atomic FR-WA and I prefer it much more than my Alto TS312. It’s really loud and has good low end and clarity. I’m a high gain player and the Alto always sounded digital and harsh. I don’t get the hate for this thing. It will suit me just fine until I save enough for a CLR.

Crest Audio FA901 with AxeII?

I just picked up a Crest Audio FA901 for super cheap. I'm going out of town tonight and won't be able to try it with my AxeII XL+. Has anybody tried this combo before? This will be going into a Randall XL series 4x12.

Sanson RS12 HD for FRFR?

I have an Axe Fx II on the way and I'm curious if anybody has tried these speakers. I have a set on hand at the moment, but the only poweramp that I have is a ART SLA1.

Samson SX1200. Good power amp for the Axe Fx?

I'm thinking about going Axe Fx again and was wondering if anybody had an opinion on the Samson SX1200. I have on not being used ATM and if I don't have to buy a power amp I would be a little closer to being able to afford an Axe Fx II. Oh and yes it is a 1200 watt amp.

I'm goin FRFR. Need a little speaker advice.

I mainly need a speaker for high gain sounds. I'm leaning a little towards the Atomic actives but the K12 and Verve stuff has me a little curious too. I like alot of bottom end and I need something that can move alot of air. I play 6 and 7 string guitars.

Cakewalk UM-2G driver will not install :(

Well my UM2G came in yesterday and I noticed there was a sticker on the box that said it was now ready for Windows7 but I had to visit the Roland web site. The downloads on the site are not working. It says that the UM2G does not support my operating system. Do they mean that it doesn't support...

I don't like the poweramp sim even with an SS poweramp.

I just did this and it helped out alot. I had it way too high. I also pulled back on the depth and sag and things are much better now.

Yes. A short list of amps owned. Diezel Herbert VHT UL Bogner Uber Mako Mak2 FJA 5150 and many more I have a 5150 and a 6534 currently. I have a Mesa 2:50 on the way to me.

I don't like the poweramp sim even with an SS poweramp.

Am I the only one? It has crazy muddy mids with the poweramp sim on to me. It seems much tighter with the sim off. Am I missing something or just tone deaf? This is with an SLA2 through a Randall XL with V30/G12-T75 x-pattern.

Just got the SLA2 today. I'm not that unhappy with it. I actually sounds pretty bad ass. I also have a Mesa 2:50 on the way. I have the Axe down to where I can get good sounds very easily. Thanks guys. I love this thing.

The digital harshness is what is getting to me. I'm glad you said that. I'm already looking for a good used tube poweramp. I have an SLA2 on the way but I might put it on sell pretty quick.

I know that I'm doing something wrong. I am playing a Les Paul w/EMGs, AxeFx Standard, ART SLA1 into a Randall KHX cab. I have the poweramp sim on and the cab sim off. I can't get a usable sound yet. I'm trying to get a good metal sound and I am failing miserably. Can someone share some settings...
