Yeah it’s an old command we don’t use anymore. Yes I’m guilty. Airline trash here ;) Wow pretty amazing about that GCI. So those 1970s tactical jets had some pretty robust datalink (for the time). Very cool. I’d definitely put that in my logbook. :cool:

How do you plan to use gapless switching?

I have my main preset setup with two amps to mitigate the gap. Having seamless switching might let me cut out the second amp block. I definitely plan on experimenting with new setups once the FM9 gets the gapless FW

How do you all fatten a Plexi patch

I’d start with a lo pass filter at 7000 kHz. Cab block and …Maybe a dip at 2.5 khz. Plexis are super bright by nature though.

New FM9 Etiquette??

I peeled mine off. I peeled them off with my right hand starting in the bottom left in a counter clockwise motion to unlock the coriolis effect in the fm9. It’s in all my presets now. It never gets turned off.

Why would this disabled amp block change my levels?

I don’t mess with parallel routing. Too much preset leveling magic for me to get my head around. I use two amp blocks in series. Use scenes to switch amps. No problem.

Looking for an external switch

Boss Fs-5 non latching. Can be used as a switch or a press and hold. I’ve used it as switch to turn on and off drive 2. I’ve also used it as a temporary switch to activate the flanger while pressed.

Well I tried that and it didn’t work in “manage cabs” Aha it works in the picker That lets me color multiple cabs but I still can’t seem to select copy and drag multiple cabs to new locations.

Ventilation space on pedalboard with FM9

Is there a temp limitation that we should be aware of? I see 60c/140f from the post above but if the temp is not regularly in our scan, how are we supposed to know when to allow for a cool down? And how long should we allow the unit to cool?

gapless amp switching

Check other blocks for an A/B state. For instance a reverb block in A switching to C may be causing the gap.

I did. I used 3in1 vs lithium grease as I have a tendency to get sloppy and make a huge mess. It’s definitely helped.

This probably has the best example. I hear it a lot out of dimed plexi clips and could hear it when I had a bray modded 1987x. It’s the high end splat on the double stops especially the upper strings. You can hear it when Pete Thorn plays runnin with the devil.

Just Tried My New QSC K10.2 with the FM9

The low end on the K wedges is strong and add floor resonance coupling and it can get woofy quick. With the hpf engaged on the k12, I’ve never felt like I was missing low end. It does a great job cleaning up the sound. Cheers

Just Tried My New QSC K10.2 with the FM9

I’ve been using a qsc k12 since my axe fx standard. Sounds really good to me. Always has. When I play live and use it as a floor wedge, I set the hpf to “external sub” and it really cleans up the low mess.

Yeah a new car purchase is in the queue. So my next thought is: How much to sell my axe fx 2 w/ Mfc for. Any reason to keep it once I have the fm9? As I understand, the MFC doesn’t work with the fm9 the way the it works with the axe fx2. Is that correct? Does it work at all? -as a curiosity.
