Is the FX loop block inserted in the AX8 preset and set to "engaged/on" ? and level is up on the FX loop block? Turn any modifier off in the FX loop settings for now in case you have a connected expr pedal somehow keeping the FX loop level down. I have my FX loop block in parallel with the AX8...

Yes and Yes and Yes Oops forgot about kill dry... I DO have it set to kill dry Clock: I think that AX8 does not output clock. I have a Disaster Area Smartclock3 that spits clock to about six different things... Their very small MidiBaby easily fits on a board... FWIW, my MidiBaby spits clock...

while you're at it, in the AX8 Scene window, set every midi channel setting (for each of the 8 scenes) to the same midi channel as the H9. Unless you have a complicated midi setup you might consider having the AX8 midi channel be #8 and the H9 midi channel be #9. Saves strain on the brain. R

thanks! will test.... I wondered about the merged midi being a culprit.... but thought maybe not since: Switchblade only sends PCC Voes sends, scene changes (hmmm) and PCC Disaster Area SmartClock Gen3 only sends clock.... I'll also check the AX8 midi implementation to see if I can find the cc...

Does anyone JUST use an iPad for editing?

maybe off topic to most of you, but for any of you JUST using FracPad in your studio (not live), then consider just the simple USB camera connector kit... no futzin' around... it allows me to tweak blocks (e.g. the Gate) from the middle of the room rather than by my DAW and very large...

AxeFx II display shows the preset, then shows one of the modules

recent unusual behavior... when I switch presets with either the AxeFX II rotary dial or with the MFC-101, the selected preset shows up in the Axe display for a couple of seconds, then switches over to a module editing screen (e.g., Compressor 1 with the 3 tabs showing). Any ideas? Rusty
