    AFIII Matchless/Morgan EF86 Original

Here's an original instrumental I concocted using a stereo rig with Matchless and Morgan Amps. Lots of stuff in this preset, drives, delay, comp, etc. But tones in the tune are just the raw amps with the verb. I doubled most parts and panned a bit to each side. I used an ES-335 for all but the...

    Wish Orange OR 50

Love the representation of Orange in the AxeFX. Just curious if there are any plans to add the OR 50, OR 100, OR 120 or even the latest Marcus King amp? These are all very unique sounding and I don't think other currently represented amps can cop their sound.

    AFIII Cranked Matchless Tones!!

Here's an idea I've had for a while that I finally was able to take some time and finish. It's a slow burner, bayou sounding, rage that gets bigger as it goes. I found inspiration from Stevie Nick's live version of Gold Dust Woman. The band and her take that song over the top for over 10...

    AFIII ToneBender fuzz for days...

Thanks Ed! Enjoy. Yeah, it actually turned out to be more of an amp and cab choice than the fuzz itself. I typically play with Orange, Matchless and Vox settings. Never tried the fuzz with a twin. Guess the twin's high headroom and clean lets the fuzz through nicely. As for the cab, I really...

Freqout sim (all units) how to do it with the synth block

I worked the synth, per the original instructions, into one of my main presets and it sounds fantastic! Axe-Fx Firmware Release Version 17.01 Release

I'm noticing a big difference on patches where I was using the JFET compressor. I read earlier in the thread that the Threshold parameter was removed for this type of compressor (as well as some others). For me, the net effect has increased the signal to the amp somewhat. Making my amps more...

    Tele in Ultra "Smooth"

Hey thanks! Thanks so much! I'm assuming you're referring to the lead part. I was actually after that type of sound. The Triptik adds this raspy, as you mentioned, "boxy" quality. IMHO perfect for some types of lead. For a fuller sound, I might have just used one of the more gainy amps or...

    Tele + Matchless DC30 = Quantum Dynamics!!

Thanks guys! Really love the Matchless. I've compared it to many recordings that are either AC30, Matchless DC30 or something like that and can cop those tones so easily. Just comes down to switching up IRs, changing the gain and pretty much leaving EQ section at default. -Rob

Have to say that this is quite possibly one of my favorite tones ever. From any amp. Recorded this solo for a song I'm writing. One patch... one amp setting... single take. Just picking dynamics and a flip between neck and bridge pickups. No post processing. Just super simply recorded into...

My (very frustrating) IR shootout for my Matchless DC30 Patches....

I think I recall reading somewhere in this thread that you boost the mids in the DC30 slightly; but don't add bass or treble. My personal taste with this amp is to boost the treble to 7 or 8. It opens the amp up a bit and adds more complexity to the overdriven sound. If this becomes too spikey...

Has anyone converted some or all of the user cabs in FW15 to UR? I'm specifically looking for cab 93 (2x12 Vox Blues).
