USB Block Level Change?

I have recorded DI's via input 5. I then use output 7/8 from Cubase to reamp back through the Axe via the USB input block. After latest firmware changes, it appears the levels are super hot now hitting the USB block in. I used old DI's as a check; levels are correct leaving Cubase but somewhere...

Sold my Blue Mix-Fi's - Whats the next best thing?

Shure SRH1540's if you want great, flat closed backs. They are relatively low impedance though at 46 ohms. Only way you'll get a flatter response is going with the Sennheiser HD 650 open backs.

Reamping slightly out of sync

When I reamp I create a click track and send that through the chain for reamping so you're spot on the beat. And then manually measure the amount to compensate for. I just offset the reamped tracks by that amount going forward.

Reamp issues

I noticed this change and switched how I'm reamping in Cubase. For DI, set the Cubase track input to mono 5 and then output it to 7/8. Then you can just use the USB block in the axe as the DI injection without having to switch I/O back and forth.

IMO the JPIIC has really come to life now. I can't even really explain why, but I had never really been into the JP model despite being a huge Mesa and JP tone fan. I always went for the Mark IV mid gain lead or Triaxis LD2 yellow. But NOW this thing is singing to me!! THANKS FRACTAL!!!

I've seen remarks in the past that have it anywhere in the -7 to -9 range at any given time. Certainly more than -9 is too much for my ears.

Blue MoFi headphones ear cushions
