If you are still having volume issues see if your output level is set correctly for your setup as Cliff suggested to me in the Setup menu under I/O.

Thanks so much! I first tried the downgrade and the volume was still low. I then reinstalled firmware v7 and went into the setup menu (for the first time) and you were right. The output level was set to -10dBV. Is it set that way by default? I have never been in the setup menu to change anything...

Hi Simeon. Thanks for your reply. First off, how do you do that? Secondly, If I'm thinking correctly, my guitar signal is being seen in VEP and the Altiverb plugin instantiated on the audio input channel that the Axe-Fx is setup on in VEP. The problem is there is no output. I can't hear Altiverb...

shotgunn bought iPad... Need advice...

Great purchase...you're going to have a lot of fun. It's amazing how much you can do with this incredible device. Ampkit, MusicStudio, SampleWiz and GeoSynthesizer are a lot of fun but there are a lot more to choose from. The iPad also makes a great midi controller. Enjoy

Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 not seeing Axe-Fx II as an audio device

Hello, I don't know if anyone is familiar with Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 and MIR Pro 5 from Vienna Instruments but I am having an issue with Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 not 'seeing' my Axe-Fx II as an audio device. I am receiving an Audio Engine error (see pic) and under the Preferences dialog in VEP 5...

Do you understand why you can't just bypass your MBP to begin with and just go into the iPad? That seems strange. Does plugging the Axe into the your MBP do something to the Axe to allow it to work with the iPad? Is the iPad connected to your MBP the whole time before you connect the Axe to it...
