Adjusting Volume Level Across All Presets

Looking for the best way to adjust volume levels so that all presets are initially loaded at the same relative volume level. Axe Fx support recommended adjusting the "Level" control in each preset's amp block. Is this the best way or are there other solutions.

I like the idea of the pickup height -- I hadn't even thought about this as a solution. Lowering the pickup height might add some of the individual string definition back into the mix and make the sound less saturated (close proximity to the magnet).

I agree with you that removing dirt or drive is harder than adding it in the Axe Fx preset you create. What low to mid gain pickup would you recommend.

I agree with you that high gain amps are noisy, but not having owned or experienced live an Axe FX unit I assumed that Fractal Audio in their careful crafting of the modeling would have eliminated the undesirable aspect of the background noise without altering the unique sound of each...
