    I can't remember the last time I touched an advanced parameter. I miss tweaking so much that lately I've been jumping from one software modeler to another software modeler just to get that "unsettled" feeling again. The Axe FX has almost ruined guitar playing for me.

    With G3 in FW18 you can choose whether you want to sound like Vai, Satriani or Johnson. In FW19 you actually get to play like them. In FW20 you get to ask Yngwie Malmsteen to join. In FW21 you get to throw Yngwie out.

    As usual, I think Scott knows of what he speaks. There is no subsitute for being in the trenches day in and day out. I always add just a touch of reverb. I find things sound "unnatural" without it. I think that's a significant ingredient in getting "amp in the room" tone through headphones.

    When you listen to VH2 on $2 buds, your brain is filling in all of the missing sound. You are not really hearing what you think you're hearing. Also, don't confuse good guitar playing for good tone.

    The MarsBW and the VintMars cabs are really awesome. They are definitely giving the stock Basketweave TV IR a run for its money. Lots of great stuff here that I am am slowly making my way through. Of note is the clarity of these IRs. Really great work!
