Room size and quality is key. If you’re in a small or medium untreated room, most full bands are going sound awful with stage monitors and live amps. I agree that you can have it both ways in large venues and some well-treated spaces.

This doesn’t make sense to me. Technically, no conversion should have ever taken place beyond the initial guitar signal, since you maintained a digital signal all the way through from the Axe to the Apollo to the PC. It really shouldn’t sound any different. 🤔

Do you mean as far as their underlying circuit designs? They definitely don’t sound the same. In a circuit, a single resistor value can have an affect on tone. It doesn’t take much tweaking to end up with something that sounds different. However, when people suggest that Mesa or Peavey...

Yeah, I’ve been learning Korean and their Hangul alphabet pairs up beautifully with the language and is really helpful for pronunciation... Written English is a mess by comparison. I have no idea how non-native’s cope with learning it. Lol

What's the current consensus on body wood's effect on electric guitar tone?

There’s a lot involved with guitar tone. Even the acoustic properties aren’t just down to the wood type. Pickups make the biggest difference I think, then hardware type (can’t get the Tele sound without an ashtray bridge, for example), then the actual acoustic properties of the guitar itself...
