Ultra Won't Communicate with Axe Edit

i use the E-mu Xmidi 1x1 usb, worked great every time with no troubles, osx 10.7.5, iirc i had to lower the buffer to update fw's, but it connected fine without it

yee thanks a lot, the version i had for the II kept showing the same gate for every patch, would show half the amps as 59bassguy, and would crash every time i tried to use the new AAL Javier Clean patch got a fully working version from this \m/

some things to consider, there is no exact values for the global eq (which make a huge difference) & you're not using a baritone 7 string with emgs Load config Ultra, write em down and pick and choose what sounds best to you if you're that desperate that being said, the patch sounds terrible on...

not sure where you got that info dude but every Necrophagist song has been in DGCFAD tuning, until most recent they started using 7s in ADGCFAD sounds good DMM

Poweramo and cab or powered PA speaker?

had the poweramp/cab for awhile, never sounded that great without the cab sims, and using the cab sims with a mic'd cab kinda defeated the purpose, altho it sounded alright for low bedroom levels, then went the route of dual mackie hd1221's for direct to FOH and on stage monitoring, couldn't be...

Mackie HD1221=WIN

hey, i got a 1221 2 weeks ago and it's blown 3 times, basically any time it's turned on and used for more than a minute, overheats i guess and shuts down, getting a replacement this week, when it did work it did sound great

Firmware Ultra 11 update ruins all tones

agreed. i couldn't get any of my previous patches to sound good, and didn't feel like wasting a year or more of tweaking. i also have had a few large bands dump their presets onto mine, and with the 11. they didn't sound close to they way they did. 10.01 ftw

with the gt8, you can only use the expression switch, exp. pdl, ctl & 2 sub controls/sub exp.... the ctl is momentary, so if you get an fs-6 you'll have 2 axe fx params being able to be on/off (assuming it's set to latching), far as i know you can't use the exp switch to control the wah on/off...
