This happened to me also. I waited months upon months to get my unit through Tone Merchants. I finally got it, and it had a faulty LCD screen. Fractal essentially told me to call Tone Merchants to deal with it which upset me becuase they didnt have them in stock, there was still a huge wait...

Yes and no. Its a combination of things but your main point is correct. No more audio interfaces are needed to record and midi is no longer needed to update firmware and use AxeEdit. Also - the amp models them selves and how the II is layed out apparently makes it muchhhhhhhhh easier to dial in...

Not only am I really enjoying this song, but this live video is awesome. I know they are using Ultra's live now and happened to catch a glimpse of them in the racks here, along with the meter moving on Matt's Ultra during 4:17-4:19. Clearly it was eq'd in post, but it sounds great!

Thats a steal, I paid $599 and don't regret it. Make sure you prepare to swap out the cable on the transmitter pack. They are pure crap and begin making noises. I got a great Lava Cable replacement on eBay and it is now 100000% of unbeatable wireless awesome.

Saw A Perfect Circle last night.

Billy just did an interview that said they want to do a bunch of small EPs. Kind of like 4 EPs make an album. They aren't on a label anymore and are paying for everything (this tour included) on their own so they will probably stay away from a full production/press disc.

AxeFx Ultra - replace front panel

I would email support@fractalaudio.com and ask as I have no heard of anyone getting a replacement front. I know some companies do it (Freyette did it for my 2/50/2) BUT they also don't have any physical buttons in the way or a screen thats mounted so flushly to the front. Let us know what they say

How awesome is this tone??

You can download his presets from his website if you want his exact sound. A lot of the meat and potatoes lie with the backing track but you can definietly get a good tone out of tweaking it. He doesn't have the Mesa but he has his Uber and Engl presets Presets and Impulses | Ola Englund

Fractal does not have an issue with it. Cliff has stated on here several times that "that is part of the free market in this country, which I support". His only issue was when one seller pretended to be a Fractal Representative. I mean he waited like us, got one, paid for it and is selling it...

Where in the US are going visiting? You have 2 options, to either contact Tone Merchants in California or trying to contact Fractal in New Hampshire. Other than that your only option is to find a used Ultra model on whats called Craigslist, which is basically a place to sell gear locally.

Live rig's are more of a big deal than studio rigs, so I don't understand your point. I'm an avid AxeFX user and while I love it, if I was in the studio with the budget the Deftones had I would use amps.

No no no, your missing my point - are you blending both signals at the same time? If not you can have a Y cable made for your wireless pack that way you can use a regular wireless and access both electronic and piezo inputs.

He's the absolute best person. He's great and loves talking about the AxeFX - Deconstruction was recorded with all AxeFX Direct!

Earlier today I decided to stop posting on this forum until the units shipped simply because I feel that a majority of people were being unrealistic, and were blinded by the fact that they know your first names, making them forget that your a company running a business that we all appreciate...
