What are your favorite guitar tones ever?

There are certainly many, but here is one that has fascinated me for decades. It has been postulated that Clapton went directly into the board for this lead tone (also present in other tracks on Wheels of Fire), but certainly some kind of EQ is altering things considerably. I love that it...

Agree with @penultimatejawa . Additionally, there would likely have been a fair number of units in the initial shipment that went to pro artists, engineers, reviewers, and industry friends. @decreebass can't hurt to get on the list.

Believe me, I went back and forth on it. It won't be doing duty on the road, and I never had an issue with either the Ultra or the II, so . . . . (Am I doing this right, and battering the crap out of my karma ?!? )

Okay, I am in need of some clarity here. I received my invitation this morning. When I went to purchase (U.S. buyer), the price is listed as $2,499.99. Place it in my shopping cart, and then on the checkout page, the price shows as $2,749.98. At first I thought this was the item plus...

Is FAS prepared for high demand at launch?

Newb question - using the Axe II with a Quadraverb?

Well intentioned or not, there was a mild superiority on display. The OP clearly wanted to know in the opening post about connectivity. Although the initial replies seemed innocent enough, I could see why he/she got her/his hackles up. Exactly.

Newb question - using the Axe II with a Quadraverb?

I still keep a Quadraverb around for a particular lo-fi sound. BTW, there was no need to trash the OP back in January. That kind of boorishness is disappointing in this forum.

    Possibility of adding more CPU

Axe-Fx II "Quantum" Rev 1.00 Public Beta

Oh yeah! Perhaps throw in modeling of different wood types for the body, neck, and fretboard. Different body styles, e.g. solid vs. semi vs. hollow. If it can be done, Cliff is the guy.

I've only used my two P90-equipped LPs at home, and I've not experienced any noise problems at all. Now, as others have said, single coils are susceptible to any number of fields in different environments. But for me, at least here at home, they sound terrific.
