    I'd actually prefer the digital method. I went and bought an HM-2 clone when it became apparent that we were all screaming into the void with our HM-2 wishes. Adding extra hardware to my rig isn't something I like doing, as a touring musician simplicity is king every time.

    After taking the AX8 on tour this need is even more evident than before. Really hoping that Cliff will weigh in on this issue. If not it looks like I'll have to bust out the soldering iron and route parallel contacts from one of the switches to my output jack to achieve the same thing.

    Yep, unfortunately I have more to change than just the X/Y state of my amp. I could possibly make it work with scenes, but that feature is once again not supported. I've added it as a wish, fingers are crossed that it'll become a reality.

    That would be unfavourable for me as it would then require additional power etc. Whereas the fs5u is just a momentary switch in a housing, the only requirement is a guitar lead running from the pedal to the Axe fx 2, clean and simple. If the capabilities are there I'll put it in as a wishlist item.

    A little more to add. I found I got the best results when placing the pitch block first in my chain. I believe Simeon also had a trick to make the tracking a little tighter by using the ADSR. I'll see if I can get you a link. EDIT: here you go...

    Boss HM-2. There was a stack of guys asking for it at one point. Someone even went so far as to give cliff the pedal at one of the fractal events (last year?). Cliff said it was gonna happen but it never did. I ended up having to buy one to put in the effects loop.

    Cubase for me. I'll usually record rough takes at riffs as I'm going with the song so I don't forget them. EZ drummer 2 for drum parts until the drummer in my band does real ones.

    Lighting was two cheap softboxes I got off ebay, I think I need a third for front on as well as the two at the sides. Definitely not taking it as a diss! Constructive criticism is the best way to learn :)

    Got a resolution. I scrapped my x y blocks and set the bypass state of reverb, delay and a volume block to be controlled by my pedal. Works fantastically.

    I was changing a pedal and an amp. I can get away with not doing that and just engaging the reverb and delay though. If that's the case will swapping between bypassed and engaged be best or is there a way to control the mix dial using my momentary pedal?

    I've never owned a guitar with a regular ebony fretboard. Prior to this they've all been rosewood or maple. It's great though, the guitar sounds fantastic. Feels lovely and has this 'zing' to it. when I've gone from playing the hype to playing a prestige Ibanez the Ibby just felt dead and dull.

    With the mesa 5 pin connectors (Warning I am not 100% certain on this, please make sure you do your own research!), I think those are just looking for closed connections, so if you have a little breakout box made you could probably still operate this with the relay connectors on the fx8.

    I put a multiband compressor into my axe fx patch to tame palm mutes. Mines at 125hz, all other bands are not doing anything. Dynamic depth helped too when I lowered it a smidge.
