Thank you. Let me give it another twirl. I'm a Marshall guy and just really like the "rawness" of those amp models... And yes I do like reality - I've been playing for 35 years and have an arsenal of reality in the basement. If it's a matter of tweaking the new params, then so be it.

It's the same IR I use live and we run stereo out front ( good, bad or indifferent ) - as Simeon said, it adds a little width to it with different tonal characteristics out of each side. Works great live if your FOH is stereo. When I record, I actually sum the two sides into mono for rhythm...

I had a couple MP-1's over the years (back in that era). They were pretty cool and definitely were heavily used in lieu of heavily modified Marshalls - they were a lot less temperamental for sure. I know Paul Gilbert was using them back in the Racer-X days and probably for years after that...

I used a GCP for a long time - I had issues with the midi connector on the GCP and ended up replacing the Midi Out port. I definitely had some bizarre behavior while that was going bad with patch switching and continuous controller glitches. It was completely sporadic and some nights no issues...

MFC finally arrived and no lights!!! HELP please!

I saw a couple threads in the past where others inadvertently accidently slipped the USB cable end into the MFC port while not paying attention... Unfortunately it fits... and unfortunately it fries the port. A piece of tape over a port to cover it or to the side to mark it can go a long way...

If I turn off my axefx2 while it is updating the FW...

I would highly advise against that - never turn off in the middle of an update. You shouldn't lose anything if you just follow the update protocol as normal... If it's just in copy the code over mode, it's probably ok, but if it's in the middle of the write, forget about it.

I gotta say...

I stayed at V7 up until yesterday since I really rely on AxeEdit to manage my patches (change the order of them as the sets change every few weeks). Yesterday I upgraded to V10 and after a little retweaking of patches I'm simply blown away. Hard to believe it could really get that much better...

New tune / old tune - early 90's Re-Recorded

Well, here we go... back to my roots with 80's / 90's style stuff and using the Cameron CH2 patch tweaked a bit. Guitar is my early 90's Hamer Diablo with BK Nailbombs. Retracked from one our early demos.

I can't wait to try this amp block... Unfortunately I have no play time for the next few weeks and I know once I dive in I'll be in there for several hours ;) Your clip sounds a lot like my Pro Mod through my 4x12 with Tone Tubby's and WG Reapers - so yeah, that's right up my alley.

Thanks man - not too many people know what the Hot Mod was these days. So this was my interpretation of the Hot Mod since the hot mod was embedded in epoxy :( I had tried an original Hod Mod in there before venturing into it on my own - the HM was too over the top for me and I didn't like where...

I remember the mod well - I did it myself while I was working on my EE degree... Primary mod was an extra gain stage before the follower. On that extra stage I ran an unbypassed 10k cathode resistor and .0022 plate cap to the follower circuit (which got rid of some of the "tubbiness"). Voltage...

This is an old song I had roughed out 10+ years ago and never put a solo to it. I tone matched one of the rhythm tracks originally done with my modded 85 2204 with the Axe II (my first tone match exercise) and laid a solo down with the tone matched patch. Added a phase 90 block to the front...
