Whatever Fractal does make for guitar, I will take a hard look at it. I must say I turn on my Axe-FX III Mk2 about 5 times more often than the other 4 nice Modelers around it.

Do we really need channels and scene controllers?

If you can get there in two or three ways, IMHO that's usually always better than just "one way". Why? Options are KING.

The more IRs are used, the more realistic the amp/cab in the room sound is

And since I've not noticed/missed that (amp/cab in the room) feature I'm getting all the tones (sound) I desire out of my Axe-FX III Mk2. And with DynaCabs It is even better now tone-wise. YMMV.

So in the video comparison that Leon did, where the Fender TMP sounded worse (to me) and was harder to "dial in" according to Leon, my question is why would Fender release a $1600.00 Modeler that didn't have the right "critical components" in it versus the other 3 that sounded better (to me)?

FYI - Just saw an answer from a Fender Rep on TGP. He says they are "NOT" using resistive modeling. Thats good to know but... I told him thanks for the clarification. Thats pretty much all "I" could do at this point lol...

To me, it's kinda like a tire with raised lettering & good tread on the outside but bad steel-belted design issues on the inside. There are a lot of people who just won't care about the inside of that tire because it looks so good on that hotrod of theirs...;)

You are correct in that this is Fender's 1st foray into ( other than the amps in the early 2000 era) a Pro Modeler as far as I know. That said, Fender Engineers and Techs also know how a Load Box is supposed to work. And thats the part I'm not understanding here... Or..., did they figure out a...

I do see your point. I'm also over 65 and don't have many issues understanding the good versus the bad of using resistive versus reactive modeling on guitar amplifiers tone-wise if that works the same as Load-Boxes do. It is a simple comparison for me and may not even matter here, but I know...

The reason I love Fractal is that the shakers & makers are here and reporting back (as fixed) to the users on the status of things usually on the day of the reported issues. NOWHERE ELSE that I am aware of does this happen from another Company on a day-to-day basis! Thats not conjecture, it is...

Is it me or are others in the same boat?

My little iK MTM's are just killer sounding at BR levels and for recording. I just try for what sounds good when I play and these little guys fill that need for me. :) AFA IRs, the only extra IR/thing I'm currently using on the Axe-FX III Mk2 is Leon Todd's 4-12 cab IR. All I need.
