Ok, here's issue, my Ultra has been "blocking" lately, first it happened like 2 weeks ago, then again few days after and today it happened few times, on rehearsal. Symptoms are like this, no signal coming out, display looks like contrast has been lower (barely see anything on it), input leds...

Thank you very much! And guess what, I played Sultans on the same preset I shared already, you can hear that in the video, I had no time to start with the band as the drummer did counting too fast so I started playing with more output on the guitar and it was pretty distorted, then I pulled...

Oh believe me I wouldn't know, I downloaded the preset from AxeChange while ago and only edited gain/EQ a bit, that's all, I usually have no idea what amp sim or cab/speaker type is used in a preset, as long as it works/feel good. :)

Thanks guys, glad you liked it. :) I attached the preset I used on "Shine On..." and on many more songs actually, you'll notice it's actually pretty hot OD preset, I played "Shine On..." on like 10-15% volume pot output, luckily it's very dynamical so it works. :)

Cheers! Regarding scallop, neck type etc...I barely can realize any difference, in the beginning I played some really really bad guitars, ultra high action and so on, after that everything is heaven on fretboard. :)

Hi people! :) As the title says, left XLR out on my Ultra is dead silent, I noticed few days ago that it was a bit lower with output compared to right XLR and now I plugged it to record some sessions, dead...right XLR out is still working properly tho. I'll take it to local tech tomorrow...

Thanks guys, will check the forum as well. :) Yeah, it's always better and more safe if you use same brand products in chain specially if it's midi, however I don't think I am gonna use GK55 at all, just Godin nylon with 13pin out direct into GR55.

Thanks Max. :) Yeah, I have read similar comparisons between GR 55 and some Axon units. The thing is, GR 55 is all in one floor unit and very convenient, just trying to find if somebody is really having problems with tracking and why, at what kind of sounds. :)

Does Fractal have a repair department?

FAS should be able to fix it for you out of warranty I suppose, you would have to pay what it costs and that's it, unless they are out of parts needed to repair, 5 years from now is a long way. :)

You mean to plug a pedal like OD, Distortion etc in front of AxeFx? Yeah, many have done it, why not, just use rear input instead of guitar input, IIRC.

I have had Ultra for year and a half and gonna keep it for a while, no doubt, it sounds and works amazing and gets better by every new firmware update. AxeFX II does look interesting nonetheless, will see what future holds. :)

Right... And how does it sound on FRFR with cab sims on? Not sure but you might dialed it not so well, as you said, when using real cab you should turn off cab sims but then again, no matter how good you match your setup with AxeFx poweramp/cab settings it can always sound bad if you dialed it...

I am pretty much noob when it comes to effects but if I got it right it's all about algorithms so hypothetically speaking AxeFx can have exactly the same effects as Eventide IF Cliff decides to write such algorithms. Btw, you said you compared them side by side, did you use effect blocks only...

Here's how it works, open Axe Edit and click on "preset manager" tab on the left, window will open and then look on the right, you'll see 3 tabs and one of them is Axe Change, there you can pick desired bank and load it, preview patches and save them on your HD. P.S. first you have to click...

That sounded really weird tho I have to say it seems like you have buzz problem on D string itself (and little bit on A as well) without this noise which was rather unpleasant indeed. As Mortega said, does this happen on most of the patches with more gain (and less gain as well) or is it only on...
