Good clean preset?

My key to a great and still cutting clean tone is to balance pre-amp dynamics and output compression. This way I can play softly and the amp stays clean and I am still loud enough to be heard. When I dig in the amp breaks up but doesn´t get too loud. My favorite amp for clean is the Hiwatt

Amp Tremolo Depth [NOT A BUG]

Not sure if this is an user error or a bug, but the tremolo of the amp block is hardly audible. Even if I crank the depth parameter. Could somebody please verify? I´m on Quantum 2 firmware.

The 1 meter IR was just for tone. You won't get room with that. I just tried different things and this way it works for me. Just try and see if it works for you too. The IR is the last thing in the chain and it gets the same signal as the cab. I use a touch of reverb but also for the real cab...

Amp List by Type/Class, ie., High Gain, Mid Gain, etc.?

I care, cause when I am looking for a mid-gain sound there is a big chance that I would never try the VH-4 assuming that it is a high gain amp. There are so many models now, and I played only a few of the real amps. And there are amps that I don´t even know.

You can use the amp X/Y feature. Copy the Amp X settings to Y and change Drive, level and what ever you want. The X/Y states are saved in the scenes.

I have the exact same problem. My solution is a PEQ in every preset with a drop of 4db on 138Hz. But I hope we can find a better way. Edit: I had it also before FW10. Don´t think it is firmware related

Simpulse IR's anyone?

I bought them, but they don´t work for me. The Fender DeVille IRs are okay for clean tones, but I will probably never use them. Also the stock, Ownhammer and RedWirez IRs of Mesa V30s are more usable than "Jimmy" and "Freddy". At least for me. YMMV!
