90% of the tests I did were with USB midi controllers (BeatStep, BCR2000, BCF2000, Guitar Wing, ...) on Mac and Pipo x8 (Windows) and they all worked fine. Just a few issues with a BCR2000 but it was the USB interface on it that had an issue (AFAIR). Hopefully it will work for you.

Hi @laxu, Any MIDI device should work as long as it sends MIDI CC commands. It's likely the knobs on your Novation Remote LE MIDI are sending MIDI CCs. On the MidyAX2, make sure the "MIDI CHANNELS / param" value is set to the MIDI channel on which the Novation Remote sends the MIDI messages...

Not sure how LINE 6 or other Plugins manufacturers do it (program) but DSP are not CPUs and the TigerSharc DSPs in the AXE are some of the most powerful DSP. DSP are specialized in certain math transformations (gear towards signal/sound processing). OK CPU do have multi-media parallel processing...

Yes that helps. So MIDIberry is useful for WINDOWS version that don't have MIDI over BT LE (pre anniversary update) but with the latest WIN10 anniversary update there is no need to use it, or am I mistaken ?

Didn't know about FretLight. This Fret Zeppelin is different cause they don't build guitars that have the system (led + bluetooth + ...) in them. They provide a kit that can be mounted on "any normal size guitar" AFAIU. Yes, the light show aspect could be fun.

For MIX param in the RETURN block, isn't it redundant with the LEVEL param in the SEND block (since there only 1 return block) ? By default (in EDIT-EDIT) it is set to 0%

Weird line highlighting in Controllers/Modifiers

I get some weird line highlighting in Controllers/Modifiers : This happens when I first go on the screen. Then each time I doubleclick on a line the highlighting changes in an apparent random fashion. I am missing something here ? or is this a bug ? Edit : I use AXE-EDIT 3.12.3 on MAC 10.12.2

No problem. Anyway some of the AXE-FX param min/max values have evolved over time. I think there are a few that are currently out of sync in the MidyAX2 v0.7.

Just tested FAT and BRIGHT and they work. For now, CUT is missing from the list. For LOW CUT in DRIVE, all the param tuning frequencies sort of work but display wrong value, for now, since they should be logarithmic. For now, they are changed linearly. I'll soon fix that. I've added the "clear...

With the BCR2000 dialog open there's a bit more processing done. I have not noticed that on my MAC. Right now, the code is not fully optimized. I'll give it a go this week. Let me know how it performs on your WIN10 PC.

I did not check if it worked or not on Windows 7. Could be that it's OK. I tried it on WIN10 in a VM on my MAC. The "real" target platform of the MidyAX 2 is actually the RPi3. I'll soon build the MidyAX 2 for it.

Fixed MIDI CTRL learning

I get the problem when "learning" on the Ext Controllers. Pressing the EXIT button does not stop the learning --> just exits from I/O menu. EDIT : I use an AXE II MK1

In the I/O panel/CTRL pane, after starting learn CC (by pressing ENTER), can't end the learning process by EXITing or selecting the CC number with the select knob. Seems the only way to exit is by sending the CC to be learned on the MIDI IN. This is a minor issue.

Thanks. I'll have a look at it tomorrow. I am getting a LIVID Guitar Wing for Noël. It's MIDI over bluetooth, but, using their USB dongle, it should look just like any other MIDI input/output on an OS (LINUX, Windows,...). I Try it out soon. :)

@DLC86 I have added the possibility to send CC direct to the AXE-FX from a MIDI controller "connected' to the MidyAX. Since the B layer on the X-Touch MINI does not receive value update issue CC (sent from MidyAX), the layer B is not mapped to AXE-FX param. But the B layer can be used for LOOPER...

That must be it. Since the MidyAx only process some of the SYSEX message, I don't get to see it. AFAIK, it is not sent by the AXE-FX in response to SET or GET param values SYSEX.

What is the full SYSEX message ? In which context ? You could use a MIDI message sniffer (MIDI Monitor on MAC) to see everything that's going on.
