Cab-Lab 4 Version 1.00.01 Release

Sounds very similar to what's happening to me...(I'm on a Macbook Pro and can get HW Manual Mode working, but not SW Live Mode). BTW, output 1 on my Axe-FX III is output to a Presonus StudioLive 16R, and then routed to a stereo output to my monitors.

So, I believe I have the latest versions for CabLab 4, Axe-FX 3 Firmware, and Axe-Edit III. I loaded purchased the 4 new DynaCabs and can load them up in CabLab 4. I can connect CabLab 4 to the Axe-FX 3... The problem is, I can't use the automatic audition feature from my Macbook w/the Axe-FX...

I think I didn’t explain myself correctly. The preset I was converting to use Dynacabs was already somewhat complex, as it had 2 amp blocks & 2 cab blocks… I was able to make it work on Axe-Fx III (non-turbo) by limiting each cab to only 2 mics for each Dynacab…. Btw it sounded much better when...

I just upgraded one of my my dual amp/cab presets with dynacabs. I exceeded CPU when I tried to use two cab blocks each w/three dynacabs (three different mics). I cut back to two mics on each one of the dynacabs and it worked fine...FYI.

I'm totally onboard w/dynacabs, they sound great and take less time to dial in... However for some my presets, I have been unable to find a good dynacab match that sounds better than the IR. For example, has anyone found a good dynacab match for the Fender Blues Jr.? Thanks.

Why does the sound of a modeler have to be "the sound of a miced amp" instead of "the sound of an amp"

I don't have a problem w/using IRs and Cab Modeling, However, When recording w/headphones, this works pretty well for an "in the room" sound: Waves Head Tracker. I really like the Abbey Roads Studio 3 version.

It would be great for axe-edit to visually display (ex. different color or highlight) non-default value changes to blocks in a patch. This would be a great learning experience for users when reviewing patches created by other experts and FAS.

Headrush FRFR 108 monitor opinions from long time users.....?

My buddy just purchased one of these. I helped him last week flatten the curve by using the EQ correction and adjusting the output to +4 db. Sounded ok, not as good as my 2 Atomic CLRs....but it was not bad for an expensive rig.

Strat tone pots

This is why I never went to "Open Mic" events at bars/venues... The other thing I hated about bars, they would ask "Did you bring your crowd with you", yet most of the owners did little or no advertisement about artists that were performing.

Can the Axe-Fx II sustain?

I find I can get more sustain good w/non-potted PAF pickups in the guitar rather than potted pickups. They are harder to control at high volumes. But, if you step away from the speakers at the right distance, she will sing!

How do I fix the action of a specific string on a telecaster?

You shouldn't have any problems, lowering the saddle. If raised (clockwise), the screw could could come out, but easy fix (put it back in and adjust again). Also, if the string buzzes, you'll need to re-adjust it upward.

Not an april fools joke...Have you installed the latest USB Firmware? I see were several are having issues w/19.05. It didn't quite sound as good as previous Cignus releases until I installed the USB Firmware...no joke!

I have a Martin OM-28E Retro and use the built in Modeled Mic sounds...this goes into a patch I created in the Axe-FX III that uses the Compressor -> Amp Block w/the Tube Pre model loaded -> Parametric EQ -> Reverb -> Delay... Sounds wonderful.

I backed up and took the plunge today...WOW! This is the best sounding rig I've ever played. I did have a few hiccups (lockups) when the CPU was approaching max. I removed a few blocks from the patch and all was well. I really appreciate the new tech in this version. Thanks!

Any Stringjoy users here?

i've been using them for years and love them. I recently switched over from Balanced Nickel Wound (Signature) set to their Pure Nickel sets...I'm digging the Pure Nickel (Broadway) old school sound more these days. They make great strings!

Long ago, I thought the Beatles would outlast the Stones...and then after years, I believe the Stones ARE the greatest Rock-N-Roll band ever! Mainly because Charlie Watts held down the group as their foundation, both as a drummer and great human being!
