Fixed BPM on the FM3 jumps 250 BPM and is locked there when receiving midi clock

Right now I'm just using the CC commands on each pedal to get the tempos the same tempo that way but I hope they figure this midi clock thing out becasue you aright there places that really doesn't work well.

Fixed BPM on the FM3 jumps 250 BPM and is locked there when receiving midi clock

I'm still getting it bricked at 250 with no usb connected anywhere. I'd like it over USB as well but right now I'd like to get this pedal board with run of the mill midi connections work and done so I'll be ready when my gigs come back. Right now if I could just get the FM3 to ignore the clock...

Fixed BPM on the FM3 jumps 250 BPM and is locked there when receiving midi clock

I'm using Morningstar MC6 sending midi clock over a normal midi cable and no USB involved. The tempo stays locked at 250 no matter what tempo I tap on the MC6 or on the FM3 for that matter and I can't for the life of me figure it out why. All my other devices in the midi chain sync up to the...

AX8 with a guitar that has a seperate Piezo output

Could someone give me a detailed way or patch that would help me use the AX8 in this way? All I really want to do is treat the piezo signal in a more acoustic way and the magnetic pups with an amp block + cab that all goes out mono. I don't need to output stereo and actually would prefer not to...

Dave Friedman and Steven Fryette discussing modeling

I like digital and tube amps.... both are great depending on the situation. I will say for me I agree with them that playing a tube amp and digital modeler aren't the exact same playing experience even if they are both run into a guitar cab. Which is better or not is up to each player.

Is this possible and if so how would you go about it?

The more I've been thingking about it this probably the best way to go about it. Thanks

Is this possible and if so how would you go about it?

What I have is an external pre amp pedal I use in the loop of the AX8. I roll my volume back on the guitar to clean it up and roll it up to get the gain sounds. What I'd like to is this: - With my expression at the heel to have it set so that the input level to the pre amp is the same as if I...

    Just the power amp section?

I'd like to try an outboard pre amp letting the AX8 model the power section.... I'm guessing that's not possible then. Bummer.
  15. ejecta

    Just the power amp section?

Hmmm I was pretty you used to be able to just use power sections of the amp models on the AxeFX. Did that change at some point?
  16. ejecta

    Just the power amp section?

Do I understand it correctly that you can't turn off the preamp section of the amps in the AX8 and that's something only able to be done in the AxeFX?

    About to buy...audio gap question?

Agree. Not sure why some have to say all amps have gaps when switching unless it's to defend their digital gear of choice. I've owned more amps than I can count and some had gaps and some didn't. Off the top of my head a few that didn't were Friedman BE, Bogner XTC classic and Goldfinger, heck...

    About to buy...audio gap question?

I use my AX8 primarily for P&W settings as well and use similar tones. There are various ways to minimize the gap but honestly it isnt as bad as some make it out to be especially in the the context you will be using it in. Also like one poster above suggested I also suggest you keep the H9. It's...

    Ax8 with EHX Magnum 44

Mainly a lower volume vs main input going into the loop return. I like it more going into the input, keeping the gain around 9 o'clock and using the EQ controls to make adjustments due to room changes. FWIW I will be getting a Magnum for a back up.

    Ax8 with EHX Magnum 44

Yeah everyone is different... I don't hear any kind of Mesa style coloration at all. With the EQ options on the Quilter I can even use it to effectively help tune the AX8 to room changes on the fly without having to menu dive into the global EQ on the AX8.

    Ax8 with EHX Magnum 44

I'll pick one up sometime here in the near future just to have for a back up and I'm sure the AX8 would sound fine through it. I've played a Magnum with pedals in front of it and thought it sounded good but I wouldn't call it neutral. I really like the Quilter and how the AX8 sounds going...

Can you use the SP1 to most of the time have it function as a volume pedal but then engage the two switch and have it go into controlling the wah? I don't want the volume go up and down as you play the wah. Then on the toe switch have go back to volume control. I've found videos on how to do...
