    I have the torpedo CAB pedal (1st gen) and have used it to run out of the FM3 and into it. It sounds great and saves a good amount of cpu in the process as I also use the reverb in the CAB as well, but it’s one extra thing to plug in and take with you.

    I was referring to the lag in performance of response in the FM3. The lag from hitting a foot switch to the time it takes for the unit to respond. Not the the latency one might feel playing guitar into it. I can understand how that might be misconstrued. I guess I should have used a different term.

    Bypassing cab modeling globally drops my cpu by nearly 15% on my FM3 🤷🏻‍♂️ I should note that I also use preamp modeling in the cab block and that in itself increases cpu so when it’s all bypassed it makes a difference.

    I recently noticed the FM3 responds better, faster and more reliably (for me anyway) with cabs globally disabled. I assume the cab block adds to latency (lag to responsiveness of foot switching- nothing to do with timing of the guitar signal) and obviously cpu.

I have had the lock up issue using the Plexi amp, the Bogner Shiva model, the Bogner Extacy Model and the AC20 and Bassman.     Just use your ears to decide what you prefer when you narrow down your speaker preference. It’s not so bad. In some cases it goes A is brightest and gets darker sounding from there B, C, D, etc but that may not always be the case.

    I treat the output to my cab very differently (with eq) via output 2, than what would go to a PA speaker via output 1. That way they both sound great.

    I don’t believe it’s specific to a certain mic since many files say the mic model in the name with an A, B, etc after them. Just a way to identify an IR using the same mic and speaker but sounds different. Likely due to an alternate mic position.

    I run an output to FOH and then a send to output 2 (before cab block last in chain) to power amp and cab on stage with the FM3. Works great if you run an eq before output 2 to tailor the sound for the stage cab.

    I use OMG 9 with my FM3/FC6 and usually the effects page has a problem with freezing but it has happened in scenes too. I wonder if switching to a custom layout would make any difference? I doubt it.

    That is for the HOLD function which allows you to press and hold a far left or right footswitch and it will go up or down preset banks. The unit defaults to that and is normal to be set that way.

    In my experience turning the power amp modeling off doesn’t make the undesirable qualities described go away but actually increases them. Perhaps the most straightforward work around is putting an eq in the path of output 2 and adjusting to taste.

    It sounds like you may need to mute the track you are recording into in your DAW and/or your interface's mixer software. Also, if you do not have a Reamp device of some sort you may have unwanted hum and degraded signal.
