    Thanks.. #16 is probably closest maybe, although those EVH are trying to be the old 20W gb? Never tried this cab. Found it: Celestion® G12 EVH 20W speakers. I really like the Marshall Handwired cabs with the 30 w speakers (G12H30), but i will likely find a great spund anyhow.

    I understood that, but freq in an amp is key to PH. More high mids and/or high end can bring pinch harm. easier. Jumping between a boosted plexi and other smoother amps with a different eq curve( in real life) makes this very clear. So the same will apply for the axe. EQ is the key ime.

    Yes. It's like there is a SD-1 baked into the amp. When you add a TS, SD or the likes it gets really honkytonktown. I had the same in my Victory V-100. Something like a BB Preamp or a more mid neutral boost sound better (imho)

    I use a Mesa 295 and two 4x12. I almost always use the GEQ set to the «Mesa eq»/5-band eq. Less sliders to mess up the sound with and does the job for me at least.

    I use the (Mesa) 5 band eq at the end before going out my Mesa 295. Magic! RS made great eq bands for guitar, without the need to make it complicated.
