Glad you're recovering well. My cyst wasn't more than 3/8" but my doctor/surgeon's partner is a guitarist and related to the bad location and didn't want to put me in a thumb splint for two weeks. I'll know more Saturday when I remove three miles of wrap!

EV-1 / Temple Attachment Plate Question

I won't need to quickly detach my components, so I didn't use Temple's quick releases. I took the rubber feet off everything and used M3.5-.60 16mm screws for everything. Had to use a few washers where it didn't feel like there was enough depth to hold the screw length or where there was a...

    King's X...Amp and IR?

In the Pete Thorn interview, Ty says the Orange 120 transistor amp was Orange's only amp that gave him the tone/attack he was looking for, so I think the tone was as important as the greatly improved reliability of his road rig. He also mentioned using an Axe Fx rig, but didn't elaborate on it.

  20. dsimms

How is everyone mounting the FM3 onto their pedalboards?

Yes, although I had to add a extra washer on each EV-1 in one of the middle positions- must be a little less depth there. Just keep some extra washers handy and hand tighten each screw to make sure you've got enough depth for each hole.

How to protect FM3+FC6 rear connections on a pedalboard?

    Can't make a choice

Haven't tried the Friedmans, but folks seem to like them here. I get the feeling that they might not be as flat as the CLRs - that they have more of the Marshall thump/low midrange emphasis that would help make up for that 412 not being there, but someone with the Friedmans needs to chime in.
