Just inherited this keyboard amp, any good for the fractal stuff?

It could work for a backline monitor, maybe to add a little more oomph - amp in the room feel, Peavey has always been good bang for the buck but I'm sure it's nowhere near flat response.

How can I get the tone of my Axe Fx 2 preset with my new Axe Fx 3? Axe Fx 2 still sounds better :(

You definitely won't recreate it using the same settings, especially what worked on Quantum as that is even farther away from Cygnus.

How can I get the tone of my Axe Fx 2 preset with my new Axe Fx 3? Axe Fx 2 still sounds better :(

Don't use your eyes & dial in the same numbers as your old preset. Cygnus & Ares for the II are night & day different, especially the amp block but a number of other blocks like the drive, delay, reverb & compressor blocks have undergone major changes too. Use your ears as to what works.

What is the current best solution for "Tube Poweramp Model"?

Yeah, it might be a bit of a balancing act to get clean input but should be doable. Naturally the best way to find out is try it.

What is the current best solution for "Tube Poweramp Model"?

The tube pre is flat at default settings so that is what I would use, tweaking the power amp portion of the model. I haven't heard anything about that no longer being a viable option.

Wish Copy button in Cab block

Yeah, I'm using an iMac & magic mouse so that may be the difference. I guess you would still need another click to tell which IR slot for the paste to go to but much quicker & easier than it is now.
  29. notalemming

Wish Copy button in Cab block

I know it's not a streamlined as what you suggest but it is quicker than sorting through all the IRs in the picker or cab manage. Also, right click & select copy is 1 click. So is right click & select past, at least on a Mac.
  30. notalemming

SPL Crimson Interface. FM3 overrides and forces SPL Crimson to 44.1 on new iMac

I only have the Axe III but assumed you could select the clock source in the FM3 too. It must be set to always be the master clock so I would think the problem is getting the SPL to accept external clock. Does it have any settings to change the clock source?
  32. notalemming

SPL Crimson Interface. FM3 overrides and forces SPL Crimson to 44.1 on new iMac

Which device is set as the master clock? Clock likes to run downstream based on the physical connections so if it is FM3>SPL>Computer, the FM3 should be the clock source. (there can only be 1 clock in any digital setup) Try setting the FM3 clock to internal & the SPL to spidif or external.
