Axe-Fx III Firmware Version 5.09 Public Beta

This is a great tip, thanks! Didn't remember we had the tempo control at the controllers page and tried to get it to work with the Tap Tempo button... didn't work obviously. What's even better is to put Delay time on the first slot so you can see the Delay Time on the screen instead of Tempo...

To Sell or Not to Sell the AX8 for the new FM3?

Too late, I already sold mine. I really preferred the interface on AX8 over Axe FX II and MFC-101. But after getting the FC-6 on my Axe FX III, oh man... my AX8 started gathering dust after some time I was totally lost with the interface. There was no turning back.

Electric Mistress Emulation - Axe-Fx III

Wow, I haven't heard that Trower record before! That flanger sounds a lot like something I've tried to replicate for a long time. Not trying to copy Electric Mistress in particular, but it seems I've been using almost the same settings as you posted. Without the LFO controller and with 100 %...

Blind Test #1: Axe-Fx III vs. Real Amp

That's not how you do A/B properly... Bluetooth uses a digital algorithm, so it must sound digital EVEN if you play it in a room. One can easily hear the difference. Amplify your guitar with a bucket taped on it. That's 100% analog for you. Hear the difference now? You're welcome.

Sold my Axe III .... bought an AX8

It might be the lack of FC-12, but I'm also preferring my AX8 over my Axe FX III at the moment. I love how easy it is to use. I also loaned almost all my drive and fuzz pedals to a friend a week ago but don't miss them at all yet. This is strange, but I can't be any happier!

I didn't think about this at all... how cool is it to use one FC-6 for smaller gigs and 2 x FC-6 for bigger shows. Can you easily do the switch between one and two FC-6's and make two units work like FC-12? +1

Anyone seeing Buckethead on this year's tour?

Not going to some territory is a combination of these things most of the times: - not enough offers - not enough interest (artist or booking agency) - artist is too busy - artist hates flying I know some artists suffer from fear of flying, so it can be that too. Looking at his current tour I...

AX8 Not working like a tube amp

Have you played the EVH model with same settings as the real amp? Did you check you run the same master volume settings as you do in the real amp? The default master volume is higher most of the time with the Axe FX. Master volume affects gain and how the amp cleans up too.

JTM45 with Plexi 100 tone stack for me. Plexi 100W, 2204 and 1959slp are also nice, but there's something about the way the JTM sounds. Fuzz pedals (real)

That's a nice tip! Another way to dial a Fuzz Face in is to run the volume on your guitar as low as you can. Fractal should do their own artist Rig Rundowns!

This would be interesting if the artists are just willing to do that.
