    Axe-Fx III Firmware 28.02 Release

After installing the new firmware I had CPU overloads on many of my presets. I don't have the Turbo version, just the regular Axe FXIII. It's a bummer when the CPU jumps enough to cause overloads in a new firmware version. I have since deleted a block or two in all the overloading presets and...

BUG with compressor block in 28.00

I just went to an empty preset and re-installed 28.00. Then I put in only a compressor block and tested to see what the CPU for each compressor type was. I was able to change through all the compressors without it locking up. Here are the results: Analog Compressor = 9.1 Analog Sustainer = 9.2...

BUG with compressor block in 28.00

Good to know but the Dyna Comp would probably not be my compressor of choice. I've been using the Optical Compressor or the FET mostly. I was trying out all of the different compressor choices going from the top one down, to see which one I liked the best. Everyone was so excited about the new...

    Axe-Fx III Firmware 28.00 Release

For you maybe, but not me. In the past when firmware updates increased the CPU it often made me have to delete a block in a preset that was just fine before the update. That is one of the reasons the Axe FXIII Turbo exists. I'll probably update to the Turbo eventually specifically for the added CPU.

BUG with compressor block in 28.00

My compressor block was set on optical compressor when I was on 27.03 and there was no CPU warnings. On 28.00 changing through the different types of compressors locked it up when I got to dyna-comp classic. Has the CPU drastically increased for the new updated compressors in 28.00?

BUG with compressor block in 28.00

The CPU was at 81.8. The last time I turned the Axe FXIII off and back on, I deleted 4 blocks on the preset and got it down to 70 CPU and saved it. I was trying to rule out CPU possibly being too high. I then tried it again and got the same results. When I got to dyna-comp classic It locked up...

BUG with compressor block in 28.00

Edit: Fixed in 28.01 I already deleted 28.00 and re-installed 27.03, so no preset to share, but here is the issue and how to re-create it. The issue happened on any preset with a compressor block. It happened on several different presets. Here is the steps I took: Install 28.00 firmware...

    High Wattage vs Low Wattage

Here's what I noticed from using a Marshall 200, Marshall 100 watt Plexi, and Marshall 50 watt Plexi live over the years. The Marshall 200 was the loudest, had more headroom, was less distorted, and was just fuller and bigger sounding. It had the best tone of the three, but the least...
