    Thank you. At one time the subs were horns and the mid bass were horns but going into a new house I compromised. :) The mid range multi-cellular horns are hand-built wooden horns from a kind soul in Germany.

    Have to re-visit this. So… mic’ed up the jbl “digital” pa I was using and got a direct out signal out its back and recorded them into Logic and the result was ~5ms. I wonder if a part of the “feels like a cab” isn’t somewhat due to digital processing delay.

    Whoa…the spring reverb emulations are incredible ! Thank you @FractalAudio I hope it is to be considered for the FM9…between the spring reverbs, amps, IRs and the bias tremolo in the amp block, the fender amp emulations are impressive.

    I get it. I’m just saying the Princeton circuit is one of their simplest circuits...not many tubes. It’s funny, I‘ve had several Fenders and didn’t have a lot of issues with them other than changing a tube every 5 or 10 years that was always easier than de-soldering op amps in a solid state amp. :)

    Made 4 adjustments over 2 days to bring in the Gibson L5CES guitar tone for the FR12. I thought the bass was a little muddy but everything else sounded great, Well, dialed back the Fender bass from 5 to 3 and yes, it came in.I’m loving the tone!

    This is definitely going to sound great! And I must be an outlier but I’ve got the Fishman under saddle piezo and the outboard Fishman Aura Spectrum DI and that sounded great as well. But the IRs I captured mixed in the FM-9 with a little piezo was just as good…to me.

    I think the low end issue is probably less resonance versus a larger cabinet design. The low end extension on the JBL PRX812 I was using was much better, but the FR-12, like you say, sounds better for guitar out the box.

    Generally speaking, the 12 has a larger cabinet and the speaker has more surface area, so it has more “natural” bass extension. The 10, some would say is “fast”….something George Benson has talked about liking(2x10). Me, I prefer the 12.
