How to fall in love with your Axe III again (4CM)

I mean, seriously, just how good the Axe is?! I set up 4CM with my Marshall Vintage Modern 2466 head + 1960AHW (G12H30) within just a few minutes. Then it took me another minute to figure out how to use the Axe amps instead of the VM's preamp. And just like that I have a tube PA that I can throw...

what marshall model do you think would be closest to the one here? (band: skeletonwitch)

Yeah, definitely! You absolutely need to boost the 800 with pedals, though, because the DSL100 has more gain on tap on its OD channels (which I believe they were using). Those look like standard 1960 cabs. Not many artists bother to change the speaker on cabs so you can assume G12-T75s. If not...

Has it really come that far?

To me the Axe III immediately sounded much much better compared to the II. Boost pedal input 3 AD/DA level??

You can't make the Axe III sound bad
