    yes! i am not at my studio so unfortunately i wont be able to tell you the steps how to set it but...you can send midi messages from Cubase to Axe FX and change amp channels and do all other midi stuff. First step...Start with setting the midi CC numbers in Axe FX. Those are not pre programmed.

    Depends on for what you use it IMHO. If you use gear emulation IRs, i think UAD is better in that regard, since it adds also the distortion of gear etc. If you were to do sound design or you want actual spaces...yes it's hard to beat Altiverb.

    I would (maybe) expect from a good quality IR to filter all below 50hz or so...but in most cases your low cut will be higher than that in a mix but that should be up to the user, how high you want to go with the low cut (or hicut). Baking in the filters that far in an IR just takes your freedom...

    FullRes IRs are like using/adding the UAD Ocean Way you like...but not in Remic mode. Results should be quite similar if you find/use a Roon IR close to Oceanway studios. Regardless the IR the feel should be the same between adding Oceanway or a FullRes IR.
