    The only time I ever get Axe III ear fatigue is when I go down the IR testing/tweaking presets rabbit hole. I am in tweaker recovery. Life is good.

    Had an Axe FX Ultra. Sold it for a Kemper. Had the Kemper for around 7 years or so. Sold it for Axe III. Love it and have not regretted it for a second. I also live in an apartment.

    What do you have your III connected to? Cabs? Studio Monitors? I usually go with what I posted above, TS808 (gain 0, level 10) into 5153 RED Gain 8.5 or so, bass and mids lowered a bit, treble up a bit, bright switch on. For IRs, I use a lot of Ownhammers - there are some loaded on your III, but...

    I cannot comment on whether or not one is better than the other, but I can say in the few weeks I have owned my III, I have never been happier with my tone - and I didn't have to tweak for hours to get there. That's just my .02.
