The editor is unable to recognize changes in beta numbers of the same firmware version.
It is best practice to install public beta firmware before installing the editor.
If you install the editor first, just be sure to run "Refresh after new firmware" after installing the firmware.

This editor is backwards compatible with firmware 3.02 up to and including 17.00. You do not have to install the public beta to use this version of the editor.

RELEASE NOTES

VERSION 1.10.03
OCTOBER 15, 2021

Current Axe-Fx III Firmware Version: 17.00

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  • Mac version requires OS version 10.7 or newer
  • Windows version requires Windows 7 or newer
  • Minimum firmware version 3.02

NEW IN THIS VERSION

* Support for fw 17.01 release candidate (internal version is beta 8)
o Added modulation to Diffusers in the Delay, Multitap and Megatap blocks.
o Added dedicated Pitch Shifting to the Reverb block.
o Added Emphasis Frequency to the Compressor’s Sidechain.

* Added a context menu below the Save button for quick access to "Save to New Preset Number" and "Save All Blocks to Library".

* Corrected a bug in Manage Cabs Browser in which only the right-side of stereo .wav files would be read from the file.

* Added a "WAV Import" setting to the Preferences : Cabinet Import category. This setting determines which channel or channels are read from stereo .wav files when the .wav files are added to the Manage Browser pane. When in Manage Cabs, the "Wav Import" setting can be changed from the Browser menu by selecting the "WAV Import Format" submenu.

I notice that when I pin any picker window and use the up/down arrow keys to select, I now have to also hit enter for it be selected. Is this new behavior by design? It was nice especially when auditioning cabs to just hit the arrow keys and it would select instantly. A little cumbersome now.

Edit: Now with the most recent 1.10.03 I actually have to click the selection with the mouse for it to select. Arrow key and enter doesn't even work.

Edit 2: Sorry, found a thread about this already. Seems to be no response though. https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/1-10-01-cabinet-selection.177387/

Yes!
That was a very good feature.
It was simple and great!
Treatment is difficult now!
Can I ask for the old solution?

I've noticed a bug last night with this version of Axe Edit, wasn't sure whether I needed to start a separate thread or not?
I'm running the latest release candidate 17.01 firmware.

In the Amp Block "Copy current channel to All Channels" only works when attempting to copy from channel A.

When selected to copy to all from channel B, C or D it copies whatever is in channel A to all channels instead.

EDIT: Actually it appears to be the case with all blocks.

I’m surprised not many others seem to have issue with this. I’d still like to have that feature back though if possible.
