MIDI out/thru prob

Don’t know is anyone can help but lately I’m having a midi issue. I have the MIDI thru from the Axe into a vocal harmonizer so I can switch on/off harmony and vox fx via my guitar pedal board (RJM GT16). Occasionally the vocal harmonizer freezes and the only way I can rectify it is by switching off both the Vocal unit and the Axe, then I have to switch on the vocal harmonizer first then the Axe.
the vocal harmonizer will not boot up if the Axe is already switched on?
it’s something to do with Midi as its the only connection between the two units

That sounds very frustrating. I’d suggest using a MIDI monitor of some sort while trying to re-create the issue. Maybe you can isolate a specific MIDI command that’s causing the problem.
