Is there a way to mute/lower volume Input 1 while Input 2 is playing and Vice Versa?

My application:

To use Input 1 signal chain as my guitar path
Then when I decide to Talk through Input 2 , Input 1's chain is muted

Vice Versa when I play guitar through Input 1 , Input 2 is muted

Branch to a parallel gate and filter block in each chain, with filter phase reverse set to "both". Then when the gate (sidechained to other input) opens, the signals sum to silence. You could also invert the gated signal, but it saves a column to invert the one you actually hear.

Option 1. Set up one of the buttons on your pedal board as an IA. Use it to mute 1 and open 2, and vice versa.
Option 2. @Moke’s idea. However there’s a risk that if there’s a lot of stage noise your guitar will cut out.
Option 3. Run your mic cable via a foot operated on/off switch or volume pedal, and mute your guitar with your hand.

I’m a Luddite. I’d use option 3 because it’s simple and reasonably failsafe.

Put Input 2 as the first block in the row.

Put Input 1 as the second block in the row.

Connect Input 2 to Input 1 in a serial connection.

Now …
when you bypass Input 1 the Input 2 is going to Output.
when you not bypass Input 1 the Input 1 is going to Output.

IMO the most reliable way to switch between two Inputs, because you only need to assign one Switch - either external or FC - to one Input block.
