Yet, enough cases to determine it was something to take immediate care of... Personally, my FM3 is silent as a mouse, not a single cricket chirping inside and certainly not any squirrels to worry about (har har).

Sure thing there haven't been any comments on B3 being "dangerous" and/or risky to the safety of the units, but given right now it is not officially approved by FAS I'd say just let be patient and wait until a new build is posted by the devs.

Beta 3 v3 with no issues here, recent B-stock FM3. Just ran for over 3 hours straight with no noise whatsoever, never heard the fan once and haven't encountered cricket mode since installing.

Firmware 14.01 for the Axe-Fx III added EQ (it replaced filter) to the MTD block.
The FM3's MTD doesn't have these EQ pages.

I forgot ... Not supported or still to be implemented?

Well, I haven’t been able to plug in since the original date of the 3rd beta release, so I don’t know if I have any of the issues mentioned. I might play it safe and roll back to an earlier FW, but I might hold off til Friday to see if they’ve got it squared away.
 
Sorry to bother you guys again ... but i'm still clueless: I saved all files before updating to beta 3, updated to beta 3 and only checked out a few things and then rolled back to beta 2: Do i have to reimport all my backup files, or am i good to go? (I just sent beta 2 again through FracBot)
I didn't change any settings or presets, i only played a bit on beta 3 ...
I don't want to "ruin" my presets by going back and forth ...
 
I had the issue with the fan powered up way too often with the first build of 4.00b3. This seems to be fixed for me with the third build that was the last one uploaded in this thread.
 
I am testing Beta 3 and have no issues with fan or noises.....the unit is dead quiet. How long does it take until the fan would move? A few minutes, half hour?

It's based on temperature. It's going to depend on the ambient temperature and the load on the FM3. Someone posted the details of the fan behavior a few pages back.
