My FM3 should be shipping today - will it have the new firmware on it already, or do I need to update it when it arrives? Doesn't matter much either way, just want to know before I start messing with it.

99% sure you’ll have to do a firmware update. Don’t worry it’s as easy as falling off a bicycle.

Just a heads up though you need to have a printer type USB cable to your computer. That's the USB-B type.

If you're running Windows make sure you have the drivers installed as well as FractalBot and FM3 Edit.

I think that’s a USB3 cable pictured and wouldn’t work.

Oof yeah that would definitely not fit. I was using my iPad for that post and it was small. I didn't notice the extra box of the USB-B SuperSpeed cable. I saw the blue and a 3.0 is backwards compatible with 2.0 but not that cable.

If I add a Plex delay and set it to Shimmer Verb, my CPU shows 65%, but the display shows WARNING, and muted.

You are over 65%, reduce blocks until you get a normal reading ....

65%? All things being equal, you shouldn't get a warning until over 80% at least. That's when I normally get a warning. At 65% everything should be good.
