7 string vs 6 string war!

I compromised and picked up an extended scale 6 string. Not quite a baritone but right now it's tuned to drop Bb. 7 strings were a bit uncomfortable for me, didn't want to have to learn or change technique since it's not something I play a lot. A lot of fun to sit down and mess around with though.

I have three 7 strings but I don't play them as often as I do my 6s. Generally if I'm playing something that only requires a 6, that's what I'll use. My only bass is a 5 string though so I still tend to stay familiar enough with the low B in either case.

Love the 7 strings but I really don’t have a need for them anymore. I’ve had some beauties over the years.
These days, I enjoy my 6 string guitars much more when playing live.

Thanks!

Ash body black binding w/ burl poplar top and head cap
1 pc. Quarter sawn maple neck w/ carbon fiber rods
Zircote fretboard w figured maple binding
Jumbo SS Jescar frets
BKP Juggernaut set

oh yeah and 26.5” scale
.09-.42 gauge set on strings 1-6 and the 7th has a .68

Here’s the same guitar with a set of aftermaths in it. I used the Producer pack and removed all guitars and re-recorded with this guitar.

Great idea with the carbon rods
What mayones model/brand is it exactly ?
It looks like it must’ve been 3-4K easy?
