AFIII Gig Report - III in a small bar, playing Blues and Soul?

Last night was my last gig with JD & The Rhythm Section - very bittersweet because this has been a fun band! Low drama and stress, fun groovin tunes, & etc. Because of the music I normally just take a small amp and a couple pedals - we play blues and soul mainly with a bit of Bonnie Raitt and Susan Tedeschi or Pretenders thrown in every now and then. But I decided to take the big rig because - well, why not? And I have been LOVING the II for so long but had only used at practices up until now (mostly due to laziness of setting up a couple presets!).

So glad I did.

Pretty much stayed on the Tweed Deluxe with a bit of Plexi thrown in for some of the more rockin' tunes. Used a couple scenes and effects on/off like Tremolo and Boost for leads. Had my Xitone active wedge on stage but really didn't need it - sound guy took XLR out and I had plenty of sound from monitors on the floor in front of me.

Here's an excerpt from "Chain of Fools" and i used the virtual capo in the Pitch block to take my guitar down to C for the baritone part.

Working through the video now to see what else might be good.

Anyway, flawless performance (by the Axe-FX III - I have other excuses) and I remain a happy customer.

Here's another:

And the Plexi on a cover of a Raitt cover of a Robert Palmer song... :)

Thanks all. Yeah, bummer, but I am the reason for the band breaking up - I'm moving out of state! But since I really still love my wife guess I will follow her down to Florida. :)
You guys sound great.
Come on down to Florida the weather has been pretty warm:eek::D
