Prior to AxeFest I was unaware of Andy Wood. I looked him up the morning of, on Wiki, and figured he was just another chicken pickin country dude.

Not only was his music far more diverse at AxeFest , but I have been listening to him since on YouTube and picked up Junktown and half of Caught Between the Truth and A Lie on iTunes.

Check him out, he even does some Yngwie inspired stuff!
 
I've always been a fan of Andy, since I heard his interview on the "No Guitar Is Safe" podcast. Definitely worth a listen to his thoughts on playing there, and he talks you through some of his licks. Really good guy!
 
Andy was the highlight of Axefest for me. I just got turned on to his music in the last few months and getting to see him perform some of it 5 feet from me was just awesome. Super nice guy too.
